Good Educational Game

“Can you build it?” “Yes you can!”

In Bob the Builder: Can-Do Carnival positive reinforcement and a can-do attitude are exemplified. In this game you help Bob collect materials, gather his plans, and build rides to create one of the coolest carnivals around. Through following directions, utilizing counting skills, and paying attention you help Bob make his dream theme park become a reality. This is a great educational game for all young players because it incorporates both learning and paying attention into a Bob the Builder theme.

Help Bob Build The Carnival

There's a carnival going from town-to-town, traveling on a world wide circuit. When the carnival by passes your home to set up in a larger city Bob gets inspired to build his very own, bigger and better than the traveling one. To help Bob with his dream carnival you choose a character (one of Bob's building trucks) and you guide Bob through the basics of the build.

In the story mode you might help Bob layout his plans in “Bob's Blueprint.” This game has you finding the correct order to execute the plans. You might also need to screw together parts on a ride in “Fix It” or collect materials for Bob in “Count the Materials.” Whatever tasks or mini-games you take part in help Bob build his rides.

2 Game Modes For Variety

Can-Do Carnival offers two game modes, including the storyline. In the story, like mentioned above, you help Bob build the best carnival ever. There are three difficulty levels so this is for all younger players.

The second mode is a series of mini-games. In this mode you can play all the mini-games presented in the storyline, while being able to pick and choose. This game is especially great for practicing certain games. If you want to practice counting more than you want to practice recognizing differences between objects, this mode allows for that. You can simply choose to play “Count the Materials” rather than “Tool Shed.” This is also great because some games are more fun than others so you can practice and replay them as many times as you want in this mode.

Helps Young Players Learn to Follow Directions

The educational element in Bob the Builder: Can-Do Carnival is great. This game is designed for young players just learning to take carryout directions, as well as those just learning how to read and count. The learning aspects are scattered throughout the game and it is easy to tell that education and learning was a big theme of the game. Every bit of text is read aloud and the vocabulary Bob uses is direct and clear. This game is a great learning device and young children will get a kick out of how learning is incorporated into this computer game.

More For Younger Players

If you are an older player you might find this game to be way too easy, without much to offer. This game is designed for younger players so there is no real strategy or challenge. Even on the most difficult setting, older learners will find the counting and shape recognition games to be incredibly easy.

Older players might also get annoyed with Bob's drawn out and simple vocabulary. This flaw is less noticeable and would only be a flaw for older players. Younger ones will most likely find that style of dialogue helpful and it serves as a great educational tool.

Conclusion - A Fun Choice For Young Players Who Like The Building Theme

Bob the Builder: Can-Do-Carnival is a great game for younger players and would be the perfect addition to your family's game collection. This educational game is a great learning device that will make counting and following directions easier and more fun. Older players might not gain a lot from this game, however, it's not directed toward them. This educational game is a perfect learning device for the developing child, and is worth the time it takes to download.
