In this game, you will have ultimate contol over an entire galaxy. In terms of interactivity, welcome to the 5X experience. Former games were 4X -- eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. Masters of Orion III adds an important new fifth "X," eXperience. What this means for you is this: You will not be a mere observer in this storyline, but an intricate player.
This is an extremely deep playing strategic level game. The whole civilization depends on your leadership. You will not be micro-managing; but your decisions will have far reaching effects into every component of this game. A player can do anything, but he can't do everything.
If the citizens of the empire aren't fond of your decisions, you may find yourself getting peacefully... or not so peaceably removed from your position of power. It is not enough to be an able economist or a great captain to succeed in Master of Orion 3; considerable political, administrative and espionage spotting skills will be needed. Direct, lead and fight your way to the future you determine for the universe.
The Full Version of Master of Orion III includes:
Extreme levels of player interactivity which affects the whole game at every level.
16 customizable races, over 300 individual technologies, 20+ varying star systems and planets
Different types of spies to hire and various diplomats to watch over
Heavily active AI which will build ships, harvest planets and build civilizations for you. No spending hours and hours in tedious build up. You put in the parameters and the game carries out your wishes
Enjoy game in multiplayer mode!

Master of orion III has the best garph views a game can have, is easy to play, as you get more into the game you will see that this game has a lot of strategy, and war as far as I can tell this is a good game. This game is fun to play, was at a good price, I think that it was worth it to download it because it did not take much of my memory and it was a fast game if you know what I mean. I know you are going to like it so why don't you try it for free, I am sure that you are going to like. So do it.

A Space Turn-Based Strategy, September 17, 2007 Reviewer: Ty from Dayton, OH USA
7 of 7 people found this review helpful In this game you will control your very own space empire. In fact every aspect of it. You will trade , conquer, set taxes, set the safety on your planets, design your own ships, you may even vote on and distribute laws of the universe. This game is difficult to learn but VERY rewarding once you get to learn it. The learning curve is about...a whole day, but that is the only drawback as to you'll find the sounds, music, and battles Extremely satisfying. the alien voices are not so good but they aren't horrible. Last but not least the longevity of this game is long due to the MASSIVE world you will compete for supremacy in. All in all i love this game and I can almost guarantee you will too.

Fun game, August 23, 2007 Reviewer: Tim Adams from Seattle, WA USA
2 of 2 people found this review helpful Looking at MOO 3 for the first time is a nightmare. There are a thousand different buttons and all of them are confusing. You just have to keep playing. There are great economic AIs that can help you build your planets, which can also be disabled for a more fulfilling empire controlling feeling. The graphics for space combat are lame because they have little detail and they aren't as fun to shoot at as ships in Star Wars: Empire at War. The only fun thing about the space combat is seeing their entire fleet destroyed by mass amounts of missiles and fighters. In addition, everything about ground forces are pretty badly made. Creating transport forces becomes a drag when you are trying to conquer 4 planets in 1 turn and the ground fighting is boring. I enjoy the technologies and the economics of the game which allow you to become the superpower of the game and destroy the advanced New Orions(Antarans MOO2)MOO3 is fun for people that like to build empires and crush others under their feet.

Orion III worth your time?, June 18, 2007 Reviewer: Jerry from Pittsburgh, PA USA
5 of 5 people found this review helpful Absolutely. This game is obviously the end result of alot of planning and careful game balancing. I don't want to give it away but it has everything you would expect from a space based strategy game, the graphics of the space combat are lame at best and overall it has alot of "Old School" graphics but aside from that everything else is well detailed and it will addict you after the first hour.
