Game Description

It's been a decade since the last battle has occured and all hell is ready to break loose again. In version one the Empire (humans) prevailed. Now the King has found the costs of war were indeed high.

With his son and heir dead and a hoarde of enemies ready to strike again, the King must garner strength to defend the world once again from imminent destruction!

Will the Mountain Clans (dwarves), Undead Hordes, and Legions of the Damned (demons) join forces to oust the King of the Empire once and for all?

You will get to choose which clan you want to be and to what end you want to fight. Towards life or towards death. This game will be a thrilling battle either way with unique challenges facing you regardless of your decisions.

Things are even worse this time. Not only are there external enemies within the land, there are also internal enemies who also seek to remove the King for their own nefarious purposes! You will have trouble knowing who to trust as betrayal runs rampant through this game. If the whole game proves to challenge you too much, you can embark on quests with a single mission like liberating a city or regaining a hostage.

Deep within the crevices of the Sacred Lands, the Chosen One has emerged, fated to bring salvation to some and destruction to others.

Braced with renewed faith and newfound conviction, each race must once again take up the sword for the sake of their people and the glory of their God.

Dark Prophecy is a great game. It involves the great Disciples races and plenty of action. My rating of this game is 1000 out of 10 as it is such a great game.

32121 Disciples 2 the dark prophecy What I think, May 19, 2010

by Arman Khan (England)

I have played Disciples 2 the dark prophecy and I thought that it was a good game but it didn’t bring anything to new to fantasy adventure games. One thing I personally liked about Disciples 2 the dark prophecy was the units leveling up tree. This was a tree like diagram that showed at the top a unit and what that unit could level up into but first in the game you have to buy a type of building for that unit for it to level up. In the game you can play as four factions the empire which are humans the mountain clans which are dwarfs the damned which are demons and the undead. This game offered a lot of variety and i thought that its graphics where up to standards but I thought that the fighting system was quite weakly set out and did take any technique and personally that is quite important. If your a patient gamer and you have a lot of free time or just want to kill some time this could be for you I do believe that this game is worth its money and the story pulls you in.

While there are gameplay improvements in the sequel, the most obvious upgrade is in the visual department—more specifically, the combat graphics. Where the original had simple, barely animated combat movements, Dark Prophecy shines with stunningly detailed attack animations and spell effects. The units themselves are huge, not just small sprites. Combat looks so good that upgrading to a new unit leaves you wondering what the new combat animation will look like.

The battle interface in general is a little bit different in that it takes up the entire screen, rather than a tiny window. You can toggle windows that show unit health and such, but the combat atmosphere has the appearance of being much more wide open than before, despite the fact that it plays out much like the original.

The overland map looks great too, and not quite as grainy as before. Flags wave, water flows over waterfalls, fire licks the heels of a Death Knight’s steed.

You should really try this game.

I give Disciples II - Dark Prophecy two big thumbs up! The game is filled with twists, and turns, and easily playable more then once. With such a profound and exciting background, who wouldn’t want to try it out? I especially see it as a perfect game for adults and teens alike.
