Game Description
Conquer the World with Risk, the Perfect Recreation of the Classic Board Game!
It's the best-selling strategy board game Risk, now brought to your computer! From Argentina to Kamchatka, march your troops all over the face of the Earth!
As the commanding general of vast armies, you vie for world domination with up to five opponents. Achieve victory through careful planning, brave attacks and a dash of luck with the dice.
Every aspect of the classic game is brilliantly captured so that you get the same great Risk experience - only much better!
Along with cinematic music and sound fit for an epic on the big screen, Risk is illustrated with detailed, functional graphics which give you the feeling that you really are playing the board game. Board, armies, cards, and even dice remain faithful to the original.
Extremely smooth, fast-paced gameplay
Simple and user-friendly, Risk is easy to learn and easy to play! With options like Auto Roll and Quick Battle, you can speed up the game as much as you want. Even with these turned off, a typical game of Risk rarely takes more than an hour.
The familiar time-consuming game setup is eliminated, since you can choose whether to pick territories or have them automatically assigned. Your last game is automatically saved so you can return at your convenience. No more looking for a safe place to stash the entire game board for later! You'll find yourself wondering how a computer game can be so easy to play and yet so much fun!
Lots of impressive features keep you coming back for more!
Similar to Risk 2, Risk includes 16 opposing Generals to choose from, each with its own unique personality and characteristics of command. Novice Risk players can begin their careers facing one and two star adversaries, while experienced players will love pitting their skills against Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington!
Since six can play at one time, just like the board game, you can also mix and match opponents of varying difficulty levels. It's your decision!
Each computer General has his own persona and style:
- Freire - 1 star, beginner
- Solignac - 1 star, mildly aggressive
- Aubert - 2 stars, dangerous & erratic
- D'Erlon - 2 stars, cautious & defensive
- Barbacena - 2 stars, risk taker & aggressive
- Mackenzie - 2 stars, consistent
- Baird - 2 stars, aggressive
- Sherbrooke - 3 stars, consistent
- Maransin - 3 stars, aggressive
- Marmont - 3 stars, risk taker
- Campbell - 3 stars, stable & cautious
- Taupin - 4 stars, devastating & unpredictable
- Spencer - 4 stars, strategic
- Vauban - 4 stars, aggressive
- Bonaparte - 4 stars, highly aggressive
- Wellington - 5 stars, the very best
Challenge your friends to a game!
Add up to six human players to the game, or play with a combination of computer and human-controlled Generals. Form alliances against the computer, but watch out or you'll get back stabbed by the very people you thought were your friends! Risk provides all the intrigue, conspiracy and healthy competition of the legendary board game.

Awesome, Jul 29, 2009
by Billy (Lake Tahoe, CA)
This game is so cool, it is sweet if you like playing regular risk. You’ve got to try this. It is an online version of regular risk. It goes a lot faster than regular risk. If you’ve never played risk and you like strategy games you will like it. It is a game in which you try to conquer the world through strategic means. You have your own armies and you face other players. You roll die to see if you can beat your enemies’ die roll.

Simply amazing., Jul 24, 2009

I started playing this game a couple of days ago and it was awesome. I was playing it with many people so it took forever, but with the online game you don’t have to play forever. If you don’t have a large family to play it with or they aren’t in the mood to play it, you can just play online against the computer and it is very, very addicting. I recommend this game to all board game lovers. You might think it looks “stupid” or “boring” but it is very fun and addicting!!!!!!!

Great for the Bold, Intellectual Tactical War Player!!, Sep 02, 2008
by General Bud (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)
Planning a strategic offensive needs a seasoned war General. You must have the patience & wits to a timed & precisioned attack. Making alliances is a must! Without allies you will be fighting a lone war & the odds will be against you. A spectacular game with ever ending possibilities to surprising finishes. Your experience grows each time you play turning you into a hard core fighting machine. Great for adults & kids alike, all for a good price. Downloading takes a few minutes & you’ll be addicted at first shot ! Suspenseful !

Just like the classic game, Sep 02, 2008
by Jay (Oklahoma, USA)
This version of risk is very fun. You can play the classic version of risk with several generals with varying degrees of difficulty. There is a voice over that adds a nice element to the game. You can also do a quick-battle mode if you are short on time. I really enjoyed it because I love the board game and it is exactly like it. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is because it is a little too easy. Even the smart generals seem to have a stupid strategy at time. Overall though it is very fun.

Risk Player Comments
- "This game is an excellent recreation of the board game. It is very user friendly and the graphics are very cool. There are a lot of options available to keep play fast, if you wish. For first time players, the rules are easy to find and read, and there is a hint box (tutorial box) that pops up regularly to guide you through. Computer challengers vary in skill level giving some diversity." - Abs from cincinnati, OH, 5/5 stars
- "For those who haven't played Risk, It's a very fun game, and because of the new set-up, the game doesn't last as long as you might think, 45 min games are common, kids will love it, adults will love it, a great game for anyone to play, and more than worth the time to download, so go test your strategic battle skills general! Best war game ever!" - Joel from MA, USA, 4.5 stars

- "Let me start of by saying, wow, just wow. They've perfectly recreated one of times best board games, and made it simpler to play. With the normal board game, its takes practically half of an hour to just set the game up, with territory allocations and troop placements. Under this game, it took maybe two or three minutes." - Steven from Wisconsin, WI USA, 5/5 stars
