This game incorporates the best of scrabble and crossword puzzle work.  I have gone through 77 levels in the timed element, crossing many thresholds and discovering how difficult it is to leave very few spaces open (i give great credit to crossword puzzle makers for understanding how to place word upon word upon word).  My daughter plays the un-timed version and she enjoys it for the words, asking me meanings and trying to place words together that form other words.  As you move along in this game, the creation of words with more than two letters from each part gives you additional hints, +words, or discards, which are very important as space dwindles.  I’d like to know how far others have gotten. f

I love a game that requires you to think, not those games that make you go brain dead.

Word Slinger requires you to know your words, know how to spell them, and how to place them together in order to form new words. The game provides a few hints for each level, and you are allowed to discard a few words as well if you are unable to place them into the game. However, the higher in the levels the more words you must place, and the less space you are given to place them in. Words must be placed in a space where if any other part of a word touches it, the part of the word you just placed must add up to a new word. There are no made of words.

You can either play timed or untimed.

This game is by far my favorite.

The game has got me completely hooked..!! really very intelligent, the time flies past and I dont come to know how. Good for both adults and kids, to learn new english words and improve your vocabulary. My mom is also a great player of this game.

I downloaded the free version and learned how to use the word extensions, which help you with your score.  It is so addicting, educational, relaxing after a long day at work.  I recommended this to a friend and she got addicted to it.  Just can not say enough good about it. It is worth the $19.95 and is great for young students. I have Bookworm also, but this one is more challenging.Thanks for a great game.

This is a great game to sharpen your mind.  You can play it timed or not.  When not timed you can plan your strategies.  I noticed that there were a few words that the game did not recognize but would be proper dictionary words.  That really did not detract from the fun.
