I think this game is excellent. It is greatly improved over the older Civilization games in many ways. Things I like about this game is the ability to manage an empire fairly easily, the many aspects involved in game play, the fun campaigns….the list goes on and on.  The full version of this game is excellent.  If you have a fast connection, I would advise downloading the demo and giving it a try.  But if you have a slow connection, I would not recommend downloading this game.  It would take a lot longer to download it that you would be able to play it in the trial version.  Overall, I think that this game has plenty of features (including an editor!) and is a worthwhile game to buy, but, again, if you have a slow internet connection, I do not recommend downloading it.  If you want it and you have a slow connection, get it on CD, it loads fairly quickly.

Civ3 is a great game, one to grab if you’re a fan of Sid Meier games.  It’s a great game to play, especially if you like empire or city building games.  It’s very flexible and allows you to build your empire however you want, and further, that very customizations gives it great replay value.  It’s a good game single player, with the sole exception of the AI going crazy aggressive end game.  It’s rough then, but still beatable.  LAN is solid as well, in the Monopoly sort of way.  It’s fun to start, but it hardly ever gets finished.
  While kids could play this game as well, I’d suggest the age group as mid teens and up.  It’s playable at lower ages, but it might be confusing or hard.  All in all, a great game and one that you can come back to again and again and have a new and different game every time.

This is the best game Turn-Based game in the wolrd. It has a great level of depth, and customation giving it an immense amount of replay value plus there a lot of civilastions to choose from making it fell that each time you play the game it is unique. Anyone who hasn’t downloaded this game should you will want to buy it.

This game is the best. It combines the stratagy of the competators with the mind of a leader. Play with your friends online or be an opponent with the computers. If you use this on your laptop I would suggest a keyboard and mouse to move your guys and select cities. The game is one of the many I’ve seen without much blood and is rated E for everyone. If you don’t have the game then try the Demo to see how you like it.With the time I spent playing I couldn’t put it down. The graphics are amazing. The best part is the dealing and trading between civilizations are amazing, and it’s all with you behind the wheel. make one wrong move and it’s all out war between you and another. Conquer all and become the emperor of the world or at least the map. It is a must buy, and well worth the time to download or install on your computer. It is good for kids from 10 to full adults. The Starcraft games I’ve played are nothing compared to Civilization 3 Gold. The turn system makes this game what it is.

This game is definately worth the price!  The game was a little hard when I first started playing and I was defeated almost immediately in the first couple of games.  Then, after reading the instructions, (which, I highly recommend!) the game was much easier.
I love how you can get such different results depending on which "people" you choose or whether you concentrate on expansion and building cities or if you immediately build a huge army.
I would recommend this game to everyone!  Just make sure you’ve got plenty of time to play because this game is VERY addictive and it is extremely easy to lose all sense of time while playing!

This is very typical yet well done strategy game.  Its very remnant of the old Age of Empires dynasty.  If you liked AOE, Starcraft, or the old Warcraft, this game will keep you busy.  I downloaded the trial and loved it so much I bought the full version.  The games are so different every time it never gets old.  I think if you calculate out how much I played it, it would come out to have cost me about a nickel for every hour of entertainment.

Another great Sid Mier game. When I begin to play this game I’m imediately completely into it, as if I am really King Alexander or Julius Ceaser commanding my army’s to another glorious victory. I enjoy this game and i believe anyone who choses to try will think the same. it’s the first attemp at making a strategie game so simplistic, and it was a masterpiece.

Civilizations 3 is like no other game out there. It’s a challenging game and yet at the same time it’s very simple a 4th grader can understand it and play it.For anybody who is in to history or strategy i recommend this game.

Every time i have played this game i was instantly glued to the computer for hours, i would start playing and barely even leave to go to the bathroom i was so hooked.  Now that my free trials are up on this game i am saddened because i cannot find anymore.  I loved the game so much i spent hours on the computer just searching for it.  I have played it every day for hours at every opportunity in the last 10 days and it still hasn’t gotten old, in fact I love it even more.  Definately looking forward to more of these games.

This game is absolutely awsome. It has great graphics and it is a joy to play. Highly addicting though but it is worth anyone’s time. I would highly advise to buy the game but before that play the 1 hour demo. And hour is more than enough time to enjoy the game with all the features. it is like being back in time and controlling all the aspects of your empire. And totaling dominating. I only wish that there would be more games like this one. Overall Great Game and a must play.
