Good strategy game that really challenges the mind. Fun game for both adults and kids around age 10 and up. Start a civilization from the time of the cavemen. You can keep it going to past the current present. Choose from some of the most powerful ancient civilizations, for example Rome or Greece. You can play single player against the computer or with a friend or anybody around the world online. I really enjoyed the great game graphics and playing from the third person view. Compared to other games such as age of empires, the fact that civilization goes into the future and past 2000 A.D. and beyond makes it a much more mind-challenging and more advanced. This is a game that is worth the cost!

This is the greatest game youll ever play id pay millions for the full version and hundreds for a one hour DEMO! This game rocks and the character personalities were awesome too! I was playing and Gandi offered me all sorts of stuff just for my world map! I first played the game on my cell phone and i thought was really good if not a little boring, (only a little) I could play this game for days on end! I love the trade aspect that just makes the game even more worthwhile. This game is the greatest strategy game ever. I strongly recommend this game. Also There are so many different characters and civilizations too choose from it still blows me away. I look forward to playing the multi-player version online.

This game takes a lot about life, smashes it all together, and produces one really fun game.  I usually find games like this very repetitive and become easily bored with them, but this game kept me hooked.  The first time I played it I didn’t have enough money to buy it, so I went from site to site downloading a trial just so I could play it.  It is THAT fun.  It is sort of hard to get to used to the button system (its what i call the commands.  There are a series of little buttons near the bottom of the screen when you select a unit that tells what they can do on that particular spot), but once you do it is very simple.  You can research technologies to upgrade your civilization to different eras (era around 1500 B.C. to the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, etc.); trade technologies, money, maps and more with other civilizations and much, MUCH more!  This, truly, is a great game!

    Civ 3 Gold Edition is possibly, no it is the most addictive strategy game I have ever played. I love how the game takes you through the different ages of the world, and how you have the choice to build your civilization. The download and istallation of the trial version was most definitely worth the wait. I would wait over and over again. The way I want to describe this game is so hard because there are so many positive words going threw my head, and I can’t seem to choose which to use. The game is Addictive, Strategic, and even Educational. That’s my favorite part since I’m a history guru. The choice of civilizations you’ve made available to choose from are the most awesome, of course. The way you get to choose how you would like to win the game whether it be diplomatic, space race, or even domination is so freaking cool!!! I love the graphics the game provides as well as the… well the entire set-up of the greatest game in HISTORY! I can’t wait till I get to play civ 3 GD again.

This game is fun, but got old after about 20 hours of game play. The game can be set to go very quickly in the solo version, but multiplayer can take hours. It’s a very fun God-mode sim game though, and I recommend it to anyone who wished as a child they could control the world. ;)

I’m here to tell you about Civilization 3 and why should you buy it.
My first impression of this game was like any other game that people would enjoy playing, and this one was a success. Pretty much the game is about control of the you own nation. You can tell your units where to build cities, who to attack and bunch of other great things. Where else would you expect to build your own empire is the king of the world. You could even start world war if you wanted to.
  I mean yeah you can find other games alike but not like this one. But with such a details and creativity I’m myself couldn’t take my eyes off of it for practically couple days. You just get right into it. Other really cool feature about this game is online gaming; you can fight with your friends or just play with people from all over the whole world. I’m telling you if you really want to have fun and joy, this game definitely worth it. And the price is truly fare for such amazing beauty. Buy it trust me you won’t regret

The game is a simple but complex in its own way. You control every aspect and feel like you were once there. This game is not for people who like fast games. It takes patients. Some decisions will require time to see if it pays off. But must say it was a joy playing the one hour demo. And the demo is the full game by the way.

Civilization 3 is the best strategy game out there. the turn based game play is excellent for this game. the Civilization map editor is the best that i have ever seen. the civilization editor part of the map editor really lets you make a civilization that is truly yours.

There is a possibility to this being the greatest PC game of all time. I am an ADDICT when it comes to PC games. I have never owned a system such as the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I have only played computer games. I have played them all like WoW, Lord of the Rings games. Anything from RPGs to MMPORG to just downloading a game off the internet I’ve played it. And out of the thousands of games that i have played Civilization 3 Gold Edition is no doubt the best game I have ever played and i haven’t even bought it. I have just downloaded the hour version a couple times. And no lie to you my people this is the greatest game. Being able to control 1 person but it still feels like your controlling an entire army. Being able to look out on the world from the sky is one of the coolest things i have seen. The game creators had a great idea by making different kinds of people and rewards you have to get smaller things before moving onto bigger things like pyamids. Game = Great

This is the most superb RTS games of the the year if not the decade! It was graphically pleasing to the eyes and easy to start off making you civilization grow from the ground up. I loved playing it, i didn’t want to stop playing! So in general this game just just down right fun to play.

I think this is perhaps the greatest PC game ever invented! The whole general gameplay of the Civ series is incredible. NO other game for PC can combine war, strategy, political situations, and trade and commerce scenarios as well as this one. Many other games concentrate solely on one of the topics I listed above alone. Also, there are many new features on Civ 3 that make it really stand out from the rest of Sid Meiers’ wonderful series. I really like the beginning where you get to make your own world. The ONLY thing I do not like about this game is that it does take a while to load, and if you have a very SLOW computer like mine, you’d understand what I mean. Also, I think there should be more customizable freedom as far as buildings and terrain goes. For instance, customize the color of the walls of your palace or temple. Or go square by square in the beginning of the game and decide whether you want one block to be hills or mountains, but that doesn’t keep me from loving this game!
