Great game for people interested in agriculture, Jun 08, 2008
by John B (Greenville, SC USA)
John Deere American Farmer is very addicting when you play it for the
first few times. After a while it is still good, but you don’t get the "thrill"
of what it used to be like when you were first starting playing it. The
graphics are good, gameplay is good, and it is a pretty good value for an
over average game. Sure there are better games, but this is a good game nonetheless. You should try it out and see if you like it and if you do it
wouldn’t bother buying it.

this game is awsome, Apr 23, 2008

well i bought this game because i grew up on a farm in tenessee i thought that this game would be cool because it would remind me of how it used to be when i worked on the farm i fed the animals cleaned their pens. and now i get to relive the life of the farm. i thought the game was perfect for me and i play it every day on my spare time from work. i would love to get 2 free full games because i would let my two kids have it so they saw how it was when i worked on the farm in tenessee.

This game is very fun with a good replay value, Apr 21, 2008

I bought this game for my dad when he first got his computer because his dad was a farmer and he grew up on a farm. Him, being completely computer illiterate, was able to pick it up and enjoy the game in a matter of minutes. I myself started playing it after watching dad and I find that it has high replay value. Its fun to just sit back and watch your farm grow and become very profitable. My only complaints are from the many bugs in the game. I’ve had quite a few saved games get bugged out and stop working. Although this is annoying, it does give me a reason to start over and try to make money doing something different.
It’s an overall fun game to play. I still play it.

American Farmer Lover, Mar 28, 2008

The game John deere american farmer is a realistic realtive to real life farming. Kids and adults learn what happens everyday around the farm.Knowing this because I live on a farm myself.
I loved the fact that it has the actual machinery and costs of real life. Also the point in responsibility of taking care of animals and something important. Teaching children the responsibility factor.
I thought the download and installing was definatly worht while. I would say the game was more than fun it was fun and more fun.
the full version has a very good price because it is a licensed company (john deere). so $19.56 is very good to the license.
The game is a "full of enjoyment and fun for any age". Hope to see more games like this come out in the future.

best game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Mar 13, 2008

this game is the best because you feel like you are a farmer.i like all the tractors and the land. this game was like the best game in here and it was fun. it was worth the wait of download and installing the game because i had lots of fun. for the full version its not worth the prize because its just a game, but i think it fun, its good for kids because when they grow up the could be a farmer and make lots of money by selling their crops, and for adults its good too because if you want to start 1 you can play the game and learn more about being a farmer and what tractors and attachments to buy in the real world. all the games i have played this one is the best game i have played

The game was great. It was so realistic. If u havent played this game you should. The game play was very good. The only down side to game game is if you have a slow computer. Because if you do the game will not be fun at all. Thats the only down side.

Best Game Ever!, Feb 23, 2008
by Lukas Vogt (Guttenberg, IA USA)
John Deere American Farmer is probaly the best game ever. It is so easy to get addicted to because the controls are so easy compared to other simulation and actual games that my family and i have played. Even my dad who is 46 and doesnt even know how to use a computer picked up so easy with the controls. The graphics in the game are awesome compared to the real thing. It did have some bad things about it like it was buggy at certain times while doing some objectives. The game is fun and is a good experience to young kids because it shows them how to run a farm and it would give them dreams. If I had to play one game and one game only i would probaly chose this one just because its fun and addicting. This game should be on addicting games site, thats how addicting it is.

John Deere Game Review, Feb 16, 2008

I think that the John Deere Game is a great game. It shows people of all ages how to grow a successful farm. It is a really fun game. I really think that it is worth the wait to download. The cool thing about the game that I really liked was that you can have just about any kin of farm equipment and you can build new buildings a nice house and fun stuff to go around your house, you can also hire employees. You can also have farm animals and have really big fields, but you have to grow your crops before winter comes.

One of the best games you can buy online., Feb 09, 2008
by berryjones (NJ, USA)
The 1 hour free trial really hooked me into John Deere American Farmer. There are tons of activities and ways to earn money on your farm. Its not only planting and harvesting crops. Once you get a steady profit going, you can buy more land and soon you will have a farming empire. You can also raise livestock and hire more people to work for you and you can get the best equipment and feed for your farm. This game is one of the few games that is worth the time and money. The only drawback I found in this game are the graphics. If you are very picky about graphics, this may turn you off, but they were not terrible. This game may be fun for adults who own and manage a farm themselves and it is a great way to get kids involved and see how much work a farm requires. John Deere American Farmer is among my top three tycoon games that you can buy online. You will never run out of things to do in this game and different scenarios can challenge you and you will have to use different strategies.

This game is the greatest!, Jan 01, 2008
by John Keller (Wellcboro, Pennsylvania, USA)
This game is fun yet kinda disappointing, it needs a more active simulation, as in "the farmers should know when to start cutting the crops", and stuff like that.
Other then that, I see the need for more items in the game, such as more variety, "different versions/years of certain vehicles".
In conclusion, the game is VERY VERY VERY fun!!!!

Best Farming Simulation Ever!, Dec 04, 2007
by Owen (Alberta, Canada)
I have been farming all of my life; and nothing i have ever come across stands up to John Deere American Farmer in terms of game play, realism and play-ability. All of the financing is relatively realistic, as is the other costs. It was very interesting to see how to diversify the farm (ie. greenhouses, and roadside stands). On the downside it could use a little more variation in the types of crops allowed to plant and sizes of tractors. Also it was hard to get started (ie could use a tutorial to help explain how to get started) but after 10 minutes I had it figured out very well. In terms of realism it did a very good job we as food producers face everyday. Overall it is clear to see why John Deere endorses this game because of it addictive qualities. I would defiantly recommend this game to any and all; it is by far the best simulation game I have every played. PLAY IT YOU WON’T BE SORRY!!!

this game is awesome. i was introduced to it in ag class and have loved it ever since. i take every chance i can to play it and it is an addiction to me now. lots of it is very realist and i give props to the producers of this game. i suggest it to anyone who wants to know what it would be like to actually work on a farm without actually having to. once again I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME!!!!!

Greatest Simulation Game to date., Sep 24, 2007
by slominski (North Dakota)
I believe that this game is as close as it comes to reality without being to complicated. It is easy for kids to get the hang of but also challenging for adults. I would have liked to see a little more realism in the marketing of crops as well as crop storage. Not to many combines dump right into the bin. Other than that being from a farm in North Dakota I would recommend this game to anyone who is curious about farming and how it works.

John Deere American Farmer, Sep 01, 2007

I really enjoyed this game! I lived on a farm before I moved to the city and this game really helped me. You can’t choose the breeds of animals you raise, and there’s a limited number of species to have, but it’s still fun. It takes a little while to get started, just like a real farm, and rotating the crops and keeping up with the seasons was very realistic.

To the Farmer Wannabes, Aug 25, 2007

If somebody wants to know what its like to work on a farm, then that person should get this game! This game makes one feel as if they are actually working on a farm in real life. In it, a person buys stock for the crops, buys his own equipment for the field and his house, hires (and fires) his own workers, lets the gamer know whether or not the plants have died, the salary increases or decreases, and the game even lets the gamer know what season it is! This game was totally fun and well worth the time to download and install it. Luckily, one can change the pace of the game for it can get boring at the slowest pace. The price is reasonable and its great for people of all ages.

Chalenging and fun to play, Aug 08, 2007
by Karl (Webster, NY USA)
I rate this good because, the game is fun, and full of real scenarios. I think it’s a good game for kids because, if the want to be a farmer the can get a firsthand look at what it’s like to actually be a farmer. I felt good about downloading and installing the game.
