I am constantly looking for games to entertain my boredom. When I found Kudos I was a little confused at first but constantly got addicted. It’s hard to maintain your character’s happiness but Kudos is a lot of fun. You can climb the corporate ladder, build relationships with friends, and more. It’s a really neat game. I was devastated when my 1 hour free trial was over.

I did find the graphics cool, the music was relaxing. But the game play I found to be very lacking. I found it impossible to improve any of the characters. you start out as a 20 year old and are a miserable soul. You stress in your sleep and and can only do 1 thing per day. The descriptions of items need to be more informative. Seems like you have to be either a Menza genius or a psyc
major to under stand this game. I don’t recommend this game to any gamers that don’t want a game that is hard to figure out.

Would be ok if not filled with nasty superficiality, Mar 10, 2008
by Amber Dextrose (Guernsey, Channel Islands)
Typical Kudos day:
-You arrive at work feeling bored and tired
-You had a bad day at work. This will affect your mood
-‘Friend’: "At your house? I might catch something"
-‘Friend’: "I prefer to hang out with someone more cultured"
-You are a materialistic lawyer
-"We don’t allow your sort in our restaurant"
You start out poor and have to choose between bettering yourself or socialising. But your friends dump you if you’re not ‘happy’ enough or don’t intro other cool friends - imagine! So you climb the career ladder, shedding friends. But being rich gives you mega-stress; dates don’t help stress so you get sick; sickness means no dates or money; so your friends dump you again!
And the punchline you think yr working towards? "10 years on" after this tedious life you just get a lame page of a few meaningless stats and a bland one-liner. Kudos’s passive little world of fake un-friends could tip someone depressive over the edge. The only thing I really liked was how debt isn’t an option.

Needs a little work..., Mar 05, 2008

I liked the game, and it was fun, however, when going into tutorial mode the instructions come up half off screen leaving you unable to close them and move on with tutorial, have to shut down game thus not seeing the rest of tutorial. Game was ok but would have been better if able to see tutorials showing details of how to play, felt like there was something I was missing in gameplay, which was probably in tutorial.

This game is really cool. It makes you wanna sit in front of the computer forever which gets your parents all cooked up. The graphics are really cool and realistic. Anyone who loves simulation games would definitely enjoy this game. Ever since I started playing this game I have been unable to stay away from the computer. Its as cool as The Sims.

The first time i played this game i was a bit skeptic because i had played so many other strategy games before and after getting the hang of it your time is up but after the first 5mins of Kudos i was hooked. Its like real life you want to live. I cant wait to come to work everyday just to play. In my ten years life span i became a surgeon, owned an expensive car made a lot of money, hung out with the popular groups, ate at expensive restaurants, lived a balanced, healthy and happy life. I also got the opportunity to become very cultured and well spoken. It was so much fun i even forgot it was a game lol.The only thing i did not like was that the trial version expired lol, I would definitely load the full version if i could.
KUDOS to Kudos!!!

Kudos is a great game. Its an interactive game where you try and make friends, get cash, and lots more.
You can also buy pets you would need to feed them. Theres not much you can do with them though.
This game is where you are a person and you try and get good in all sorts of things like acting, language, and much more which will help you get a good or great job. Happiness is very important if your not your friends won’t be happy either. Kudos is kind of like what happens in real life. I think this would be most suitable for teens and older.
When I started playing this game I thought it was awsome! I would rate this game about 4.5 it was a GREAT game. So hope when you play this game you like this too.

Kudos...Addicting...Fun...and most of all...Realistic., Jan 01, 2008

Kudos is a lot of fun! What I love most about it is that it is realistic. They give you actual scenarios that us "average" people have to figure out in the real world sometimes. It can actually teach you a lot. I recommend it to anybody and everybody who wants to have a good time. Thanks Kudos!

The New- Improved Sims, Dec 14, 2007
by Aidan (Australia)
I thought this was a great game, the virtual life aspect of the game is clearly comparable to The Sims series. I personally found it more fun than The Sims however, as there is no hassle of actually having to live their whole life such as going to the toilet and getting food etc, i find that these things tend to make the game boring, this is where Kudos excels, you get to make important life decisions and build relationships in a much less complicated way. if you enjoy playing the sims of other games along those line or even just want to try something new, i suggest this game.

Well.....Not the best...at all., Dec 06, 2007

Okay so I started up this game hoping for an exciting exhilerating experience playing Kudos. So I click start new game and then you create "your own" charactor. Tons of people were telling me " Oh ya and you can customize and create your own character", Well they lied to me. You get to pick from a couple of premade avatars and there name also you get to pick your character’s confedience, Intelligence, Strength and 2 more other traits (Can’t remember the other two traits). So after that people were telling me that this was like the sims. No way. This wasn’t even close to being simalar to The Sims. All you do is pick career path read couple of dialoges and Go shopping and keep your Avatar happy. You can’t even customize or look at your house all you see is lousy menus and your character with backround weather!!! YAA dosen’t it sound like so much fun…no it dosen’t actually. This game is only for hardcore customization gamers out there also trust me this game isnt simple!!! SO BEWARE!!!!

Nice concept for a game but a bit boring. I do like simulation games. The first Sim City is still my favorite. Rollercoaster Tycoon is another fav.. This is entertaining enough but monotony will set in after a few hours of play time.

Good Game, Nov 24, 2007
by Jessica (Bremerton, WA USA)
Kudos is a fun game about living your own life with your pick of jobs, free time, and friends. At first this game is fun, but to tell the truth after some time the game gets slightly tiring and lengthy. You’re aloud to name and pick your own character, and then pursue your carreer, through picking as many college classes as desired. You make many friends, and you work at not loosing them by hanging out and doing activities that interest and bring joy to them. If you want alone time, you’re able to go shopping and buy whatever you please, clean your home, take a bubble bath, and many others. The objective is basically to make your life successful by making enough money and staying happy, by not drinking or becoming to lonely or stressed. You also work on staying fit and not gaining weight by doing sports and walking to work or taking a jog. All in all, this game is pretty fun and enjoyable…but can also get pretty boring if you get tired of doing the same thing day, after day. Kudos

Kudos, The best simulation Game EVER!!!, Nov 18, 2007
by Rachel (London, Engand)
Kudos has the best simulation graphics and is THE tool to teach children about life.
Being in complete control of your life you can do whatever you want to do and customise your character however you want.
This game is great for all ages above 15.
Though it is similar to the sims it is far better as it gives you more freedom to do what you wish with your character. You can choose any path in life and meet and make friends with lots of people.
Kudos is the best game EVER!!!

Easily the best life simulation game, though admittingly there aren’t that many of them out there. In Kudos you take control of the life of a man just moving out to live on his/her own. You control all the aspects of their life, from who they see and what they do, to what subjects they study and what job they apply for. I just think that the concept alone is amazing, it may not be much into the graphics and mini-game areas(which is the only reason it did not recieve a 5), but the choices and the basics alone were more than enough to make up for that. Whoever made this game put an amazing amount of thought into this game. I highly recommend it to anybody who is interested in games where they want to take control of their own life without having to follow a storyline.
