Definitely Not Your Average Sims Game, Apr 07, 2007
by Daiger (Clovis, CA USA)
Ever wonder how most villages on seemingly deserted islands started out? Well, wonder no more, because this game shows you how and gives you control over a small band of survivors stranded on such an island.
Much fun comes from watching your villagers survive and prosper while learning skills; what’s even better is that unlike most games, the villagers will continue to do the tasks they’re assigned without you, like real villagers should do. That would explain why my villager take forever to finish building a hut during the trial version.
Realism is implemented in the aging of your characters as well, so it’s highly essential to raise your population and keep them healthy.
There are many puzzles to solve and the solutions come from various skills your villagers have learned. It also helps to explore your seemingly humble island, which is beautifully detailed in splendid graphics.
All in all, Virtual Villagers is a real-time simulation game that’s worth checking out.

You want life outside your own? Check this game out then, Mar 31, 2007

Virtual Villagers is one of the best real time sim games there is out. Even if you’re new to the world of PC gaming and sim games on a whole, this game-with its excellent graphics, its tutorial option, its help options and a whole heap of other features- makes learning a joy and not a burden.
Once you’ve downloaded the game and installed it, its fun with strategy from there. All your actions in the game setting go towards one basic goal: Making sure your village survives by all means possible. You have to reproduce, train your villagers, upgrade technology and skills. That’s the easy part. The trick to it all is knowing when to do all of those things.
I couldn’t stop playing the game when I first looked at the trial version, and the great thing is when you’re not playing the real time works so the game goes on playing even when you aren’t. (Another cool feature).
This game is for everyone from the serious sim gamers to the parent looking for a nice PC game for the family to share.

Best sims game ever, Mar 30, 2007
by Linda Van Gessel (Porterville, Calif. USA)
I have never gotten into sims games before. When I played the free download for this game I thought that the game was awesome. It’s very enjoyable, and fun to watch each villager grow and to learn new things. After a few times of showing them things they pick it up on their own. I would highly recommend this game to game players of all ages. If you like sims games you just fall for this one.

Wow..., Mar 27, 2007
by Trish (Bristol, TN USA)
Wow is the only single word I can think of to describe this game. Virtual Villagers and Virtual Villagers 2 gives a whole new definition to the word patience. I absolutely LOVE them though! Just the concept of being in control of a village of people got me hooked on these games. YOU get to choose who does what, what gets done, and who gets to discover all the secrets of Isola. You can play hours on end, watching out for mushrooms, which only children can pick, or you can simply turn the game off and do your chores or whatnot. The hour free trial goes by quickly, so I reccommend buying the game before your trial expires. Just like the Sims games, these games are suited for all ages. I even got my dad to play this game and he only gets on the computer to pay bills! This game, along with the sequel, easily gets 5 stars. I can’t wait for the third chapter!

This game is for all sorts of ganers. The story is a bunch of people get stranded on island and you have to teach each individual a skill that will hep them survive. teaching them is not the objective (not the main one) its, finding all the secrets on the island. This game is a must try and will keep you busy for hours. Its a game that is complex but simple to learn. My experiance with it is great after i got the ball rolling for people i just had to check once in a while for like 5-10 minutes you’ll get what im mean when you play this game and also the download is not very long so it does not hurt to wait like 5 mimnutes or less

Virtual Villagers Lost Children is one of the best games I have played. The game is a little slow to start. Although the game picks up quickly. you can easily loose track of time playing and almost like looking after your own Family.

Virtual Villagers is a Very Vibrant Game, Mar 11, 2007
by Daniella (Cleveland, OH USA)
Virtual Villagers is a wonderfully addictive game, and although it starts slowly, it gradually builds up momentum. The first time I played it, I was so engrossed in the game that I didn’t notice that my dinner was boiling over! The second time, I became very upset when one of my characters died. The graphics are not fabulous, but the game itself is incredibly engrossing and I have had a wonderful time playing it. It was especially appealing how each character could be assigned a ‘job’ and eventually each reached new levels of achievement within their assigned position. This game is far from a disappointment- it’s incredibly engaging and very relaxing (it’s set on an island and so has beautiful scenery around the characters). Play this game! You will absolutely adore it!

It's Great!, Mar 09, 2007

Although it may have a slow start, you get addicted to the story line and continuing on with the game. If you have played Virtual Villagers before, you won’t be disappointed. New milestones to complete, new problems to solve. It’s definitely addictive, I would definitely buy this game and it’s worth it! This will keep you entertained for a long time to come as long as you don’t look for cheats on the internet! I loved the first one and i love the second one too! Now when’s the third one going to be released?...

-- 5 STARS all the way --, Mar 08, 2007
by Nadine (Canada)
To be honest this is my favorite game EVER. I would recommend this game to anyone at any age. Its not like other games that only have one or two main points. This game has a lot of goals you you can complete and when you complete one the villagers have a celebration. So imagine what they might do when you win.
I think that the best part about this game is that its in real life time. When you close the computer and go to sleep or go to lunch something is happening there. When you log back on something surprising will happen (like finding a whale and deciding whether to kill it or use it for science)
If you like any games like the sims or anything please try this game and see what you think. :D

Virtual Villagers are Virtually Outstanding, Mar 07, 2007
by Dani (Sacramento, CA USA)
Virtual villagers is a game great for anyone of any age with any schedule. There is nothing profane or inappropriate, so I feel comfortable letting my kids play. Also, when you leave the game, it continues on it’s own, so every time you come back there is something new to do or explore. I really like that things keep happening, even when I’m not watching, sometimes, when I did have time to sit and watch, though, I got a little bored. The game was a lot of fun, and well worth the price, it’s not a game you can beat in 2 hours, and then wonder where your money’s gone. The end left me hanging a little, but I can’t wait to play the second chapter- I’ve even heard rumor of a 3rd chapter.

Ok. So I found this game on download-free-games.com called Virtual Villagers. You get to control the people, but if you leave they will still work! It’s amazing. There are many puzzles, some challenging and some pretty easy, There’s a tutorial to help you get started, too. One thing, though. You NEED tech points to really do anything in this game. The best thing about this game is that you can play it for free. (If only for a limited time)

My Kind of Game, Mar 01, 2007
by Ayriel (Belton, TX USA)
Virtual Villagers is a fun game to play, especially with a schedule like mine. I am in college, so between classes i’ll play and during class the characters do their own thing, so when I come back, there are all kinds of surprises. The game is fun and addicting and if you like this one, try Virtual Villagers 2. The begining is a little more challenging, but it is all kinds of fun!

I absolutley love this game. So much in fact that I purchased it. The graphics are so cute and well done. I like the concept of solving the puzzles. I even pick out favorite lil villagers. I love the fact that you are required to think about how and why you purcahse skill points. And now there’s a sequel! I’m buying that one as well. This game is definatley a must have. One the whole family will enjoy playing. My 4 year old loves it as well!
