Best Puzzle/Sim Game, Jun 10, 2007
by Jaison Jensen (Woods Cross, UT USA)
This game is by far the best game I’ve played in, well, at least a year. This game is so awesome, there’s so much you can do, train builders and scientists, but the best part is even when you don’t play it directly, the game still goes on. How many other games do that…not many. This game is definitely worth it’s weight in gold.

Virtual Villagers is a beautiful story.., May 19, 2007

A beautiful story in which the player is deeply involved. The captivating story of the evolution of some people, the story of their needs/our needs, the story of science. There is something about us in these story! That is why I really love this game! I think the player is parent, but also is a small god.

Loved It!, May 16, 2007

I came across this site purely by accident. When I downloaded this game I didn’t think it sounded like the best game, but I was really wrong - it was so worth the time to download. You get an hours free trial which is more than enough time to get to know the game. The graphics aren’t the best but the game-play makes up for it. It is sort of like a mini-version of the sims except you can have much more people. You start off with about 6 adults and 1 child, all with whom you must start a new civilisation on a desert island. You must find new ways to farm, build and research new ways to make babies :P. I think a big tip would be to use the tutorial the first time (which is optional) and once you have played for 15 minutes or so, quit the game and come back in a while and you’ll have received tons of tech points (play it to find out what these are!!). Overall I loved the game and if I had a credit card would buy the game, but I don’t, but an hours trial is enough to begin with…

INCREDIBLE GAME!!!!!, May 13, 2007

This game keeps my occupied for hours. All the different people and options are awesome.I like how it combines real life people and some fiction. i wish there were more games like it. The only reason why i didnt give it 5 stars was because its kind of hard to move around to see all of the land, but all in all it was GREAT!!!!

Definitely Not Your Average Sims Game, Apr 07, 2007
by Daiger (Clovis, CA USA)
Ever wonder how most villages on seemingly deserted islands started out? Well, wonder no more, because this game shows you how and gives you control over a small band of survivors stranded on such an island.
Much fun comes from watching your villagers survive and prosper while learning skills; what’s even better is that unlike most games, the villagers will continue to do the tasks they’re assigned without you, like real villagers should do. That would explain why my villager take forever to finish building a hut during the trial version.
Realism is implemented in the aging of your characters as well, so it’s highly essential to raise your population and keep them healthy.
There are many puzzles to solve and the solutions come from various skills your villagers have learned. It also helps to explore your seemingly humble island, which is beautifully detailed in splendid graphics.
All in all, Virtual Villagers is a real-time simulation game that’s worth checking out.

You want life outside your own? Check this game out then, Mar 31, 2007

Virtual Villagers is one of the best real time sim games there is out. Even if you’re new to the world of PC gaming and sim games on a whole, this game-with its excellent graphics, its tutorial option, its help options and a whole heap of other features- makes learning a joy and not a burden.
Once you’ve downloaded the game and installed it, its fun with strategy from there. All your actions in the game setting go towards one basic goal: Making sure your village survives by all means possible. You have to reproduce, train your villagers, upgrade technology and skills. That’s the easy part. The trick to it all is knowing when to do all of those things.
I couldn’t stop playing the game when I first looked at the trial version, and the great thing is when you’re not playing the real time works so the game goes on playing even when you aren’t. (Another cool feature).
This game is for everyone from the serious sim gamers to the parent looking for a nice PC game for the family to share.

Best sims game ever, Mar 30, 2007
by Linda Van Gessel (Porterville, Calif. USA)
I have never gotten into sims games before. When I played the free download for this game I thought that the game was awesome. It’s very enjoyable, and fun to watch each villager grow and to learn new things. After a few times of showing them things they pick it up on their own. I would highly recommend this game to game players of all ages. If you like sims games you just fall for this one.

Wow..., Mar 27, 2007
by Trish (Bristol, TN USA)
Wow is the only single word I can think of to describe this game. Virtual Villagers and Virtual Villagers 2 gives a whole new definition to the word patience. I absolutely LOVE them though! Just the concept of being in control of a village of people got me hooked on these games. YOU get to choose who does what, what gets done, and who gets to discover all the secrets of Isola. You can play hours on end, watching out for mushrooms, which only children can pick, or you can simply turn the game off and do your chores or whatnot. The hour free trial goes by quickly, so I reccommend buying the game before your trial expires. Just like the Sims games, these games are suited for all ages. I even got my dad to play this game and he only gets on the computer to pay bills! This game, along with the sequel, easily gets 5 stars. I can’t wait for the third chapter!

Like Sim games? Well then this game is for you.
You guide a group of villagers on the island
Isola and discover all the hidden secrets and ways to live. From clearing a well to opening caves and founding schools this game keeps you busy. You’ll have hours and hours of fun with this wonderful game. As the colony grows, you can set people to doing different tasks and completing puzzles. This is one of the best games ever because its fun, lets you be a village chief in a way, and gives people of all ages hours of fun. You have fun but also have a challenge. I’ve personally finished it and played it over again with the same interest. The whole family loves this game.
It’s a really great game for the whole family either every one doing a seperate account or all helping to run one. I highly recommend this game to every one. Is about the most interesting, challenging in a way, but fun game i’ve ever played. You’ll love it as much as me i gaurentee. So download it today.

This game has it all!!!, Mar 20, 2007

This game is for all sorts of ganers. The story is a bunch of people get stranded on island and you have to teach each individual a skill that will hep them survive. teaching them is not the objective (not the main one) its, finding all the secrets on the island. This game is a must try and will keep you busy for hours. Its a game that is complex but simple to learn. My experiance with it is great after i got the ball rolling for people i just had to check once in a while for like 5-10 minutes you’ll get what im mean when you play this game and also the download is not very long so it does not hurt to wait like 5 mimnutes or less

The Best Game In a long Time, Mar 17, 2007
by Ed (St. Louis, Mo)
Virtual Villagers Lost Children is one of the best games I have played. The game is a little slow to start. Although the game picks up quickly. you can easily loose track of time playing and almost like looking after your own Family.
