I really LOVE sim war games. FreeCiv was o.k., the graphics could have been better and I don’t think there were any instructions on how to play the game. You have to get the hang of it by yourself. The game was enjoyable but I didn’t expect too much since it was free. I only wish the game could last for more turns. Every time you take a turn a couple years pass. And you only get a certain amount of turns. You can play out real historical events or even play out fictional peoples: Elves, Martians… If you like this game you should try Warcraft: Orcs v. Humans, I know it’s an old game but it’s still fun. I recommended you try both games if you’re into war sims. >sigh< Well now back to my gaming…

When I first saw the name of this game I instantly thought it would be boring, after reading the description of the game I thought I would try it…It took a while to get the hang of it but now I am hooked on it! I have asked my friends to try it and they agree,the only thing I dislike about it is I that I think the graphics could be better, besides that I recommend this game for people with a taste for strategic games.

I was never the type to play games like this.  But one day, my uncle brought his laptop to my house and I played the games that I usually played on it.  I then decided to try out this freeciv game.  At first, I didn’t get it, but once I did it became addictive!  Sure, I lost several times, but I still had a lot of fun playing it.

free civ is awesome! you can go to war with your neighboring countries or be allies, you can manage cities, build roads and and everything. i’d suggest it for any people that like simulations!
