Excellent-Chilling Hidden Object Mystery!, Jun 28, 2010
by Jeff
Being a fan of the Mystery Case Files series, I could not wait to play Dire Grove, the latest installment in the hidden-object/mystery series. The game starts off with a lovely live-action clip detailing some of the backstory, about a nasty winter snowstorm that has covered parts of England. Throughout the game, there are a total of 16 video tapes to be found, each with a live-action clip. The video was a nice addition, and it really added to the cinematic feel of the game. The graphics for Dire Grove are really stunning. No longer are the images blurry and lo-res as with previous MCF games. The scenes are photo-realistic, and the atmosphere will send chills down your spine. Accompanying the graphics is a very chilling soundtrack. From the unnerving music to the howling of the wind, the audio deserves having the speakers turned up to really enhance the feel of the game.
Overview: MCF: Dire Grove is one of the best games in the Hidden Object genre, and its icy ghost story is definitely something you want to check out.

Loved the game. It was awsome. The sound effects and the spooky atmosphere made me feel everything real while playing. And theme was also cool. I played the game more than 25 times and still I don’t get bored of it. I think others who should also try the game. I am sure they will love it too. Its a game which can be played by everyone.
