i thought i wouldn’t like this game at first, but then i got further along in it. it started to get interesting and then just amazing. i showed my girlfreind how to play and she said it was boring but i begged her to keep playing, so she did. After a while she told me she loved it too. and now we play whenever we get a chance, ive been up all night playing it, its addictive and i love it!

This game is very interactive and addicting.  Trying to gather resources and defend kingdoms can become fun really quickly.  My strategy to winning in this game is simple however, just try to accomplish as much as you can in 1 day.  I recommend this game to kids because they often wish to drift into fantasies and this game is very similar to fairy tales.  This game is also age appropriate for little kids so why not give them something to enjoy?!

My friend Andrew and I have been playing this game against each other multiplayer and we’re still getting better at it.  So much macro/micro/tempo to take into account, amazing and rare for a non-RTS turn-based game.  I really love chess and this is almost comparably awesome.  You can tell it’s a quality game because there’s a very real return on skill.  I can certainly wax any scrub with ease, I’ll take any of you out.  Also, the graphics are actually pretty satisfying and colorful.

This is a really cool game. I bet if they re-released this game with additions, using the same graphics, it would be a hit again. I think they lost the plot with Heroes 3 onwards in terms of graphics and game play.

This game is obviously, one of the best games EVER! Like in Warcraft, you manage resources and build armies and buildings, however this game is a turn-based strategy. It never grows old, you’ll keep playing again and again.

I loved playing this game, everything about it was FUN!!! Collecting resources, fighting monsters, building armies and towns, and beating my enemies up (NOBODY STANDS A CHANCE AGAINST MY BLACK DRAGONS AND NOBODY EVER WILL!!!). You can also make your own maps, but I wasn’t very creative lol. This game is for kids AND adults.

This Game wraps the thrill of adventure and treasures to discover, into thought-provoking, strategic fun!  Great for kids as well as adults.  If you don’t feel safe connecting to others on the web to play, feel free to play against the computer. In some versions of Heroes of Might and Magic, you can actually create your own map, hide your own treasures, and make up your own rules. It’s such a fun game, it has been re-made many times to keep up with the technology.  (I still remember the very first one, I got it in the early 90’s! :)  Thanks for making it!

I’ve been playing this game since i was at least seven years old.  I never get tired of it because of all the challenging quests.  I prefer this game to newer versions because I simply think it is the best Heroes game, and I like the birds eye point of view of the character.  I would recommend this game to any old school gamer who is looking for an escape from all the new complicated High-Definition games.

Probably pushing 12 years ago or so i started playing this game.  i have played every type of game out there and if anyone was to ever ask me which was my favorite game of all time on any console i would say heroes of might and magic 2.  the gameplay is amazing and it will wrap you in like nobodies business.  amazing game.  every couple months i get a crazy desire to play this game for a couple of nights.  this game rocks

I have been a fan of Heroes of Might & Magic since version I. HOMM II was bigger and better. Cool music, good graphics for the time. All around entertaining. Time melted away while playing. I would find the sun rising and I had been playing all night. “Just one more turn.”
I really liked HOMM III too, but the charm in II was unbelievable. HOMM IV was not so good. HOMM V made a good comeback and I was just playing it tonight (on my Mac and the darn thing kept crashing for some reason. Grr.)
Well worth the money. Tons of play time.

I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid.  Just getting to play the 60min demo brought back tons of memories!  I love the "old school" graphics.  It’s not gorey or it’s just plain fun!  I like how it is actually pretty challenging to win, they don’t just hand it to you on a silver platter.

A superb game, what it lacks in graphics it makes up for with the story and gameplay, in my experience this game is a excellent way to pass the time, in my personal opinion this game is well worth the time to download and the price of the full version, it is also good for both children and adults, the only major downside of this game is the grahpic, although at the time this game was released it was undoubtedly on the cutting edge, in short this game has been on of my favourite War & Strategy games of all time.
