Pretty good but it could be better, Jan 21, 2010

This is indeed a great game but I believe that it could have been made much better. The AI in this game is very stupid. They might as well have not put on in there. I really didn’t like how there were no enemy cities in this game. All that the enemy have are little forts that slowly regenerate 2-6 battalions of troops. Aside from recurring raids from this weak enemy, the only thing this game does to challenge you is managing a city. Flow resources are hard to get used to if you normally play rts games like Age of Empires or some game like that, but after a while you will get used to it. I really don’t like the naval aspect of this game. Almost everything is done on land and the only ships you can build are one certain type of galley and a trade vessel. The galleys are never even needed as the AI cannot erect buildings to make the ships necessary for naval combat. I really do like the city building part of the game. The makers of this game really put a lot of time and hard work into making sure that the city building is real and will keep you on your toes. You never know when a plague might infect your city or a large fire eradicates half of your buildings. If you like sim-city games, then this game is for you. If you are more prone to like war games like age of empires, I would suggest finding another game as this on will barely satisfy your pugnacious needs.
