Beginning of a Legendary Franchise, Jun 09, 2008
by Ryan (Fort Pierce, FL USA)
Back in 1995, Command and Conquer gave PC gamers a new take on RTS games. Users choose from GDI or Nod forces and begin their eventual attempts to eliminate the other.
You control your building trees and can choose different strategies depending on the mission. You can go all out offensive with GDI Mammoth Tanks or build an untouchable defense with the Nod Obelisks of Light.
Resource management, as in most RTS games is important, but obviously overshadowed by the action content. You’ll have to carefully manage patches of tiberium, by harvesting and defending your supply, in order to have the funds to develop your base. Tiberium also harms troops and can be used offensively, but leading a group of opposing soldiers through a tiberium field.
As the Single Player mission progresses, you can choose different routes for your forces to take, which allows for replayability.
The biggest highlight is the networking multiplayer, players can spend hours dueling each other for fun

Command & Conquer best strategy game!, May 16, 2008
by Smith (CANADA)
At first when you start it is easy, but only because the want you to get to know the commands better before trying out the harder missions later on. I love it how you can get to pick from GDI or The Brother Hood! The graphics are actually pretty good for the time the game was made. I also like how there are specialty type missions where you have to make one person survive through the mission, those missions ae AWSOME!!! I think you should download this game, it is WORTH IT!

C&C RULZ, Apr 23, 2008
by Joshua Pierce (Lake Dallas, Texas)
command and conquer is the best RTS ever you cant beat it. you can choose good guys or bad guys, and each has its own story line. you can build anything and everything u can even take over enemy bases and build what they can build. I own every C&C ever made and have beat them several times but i keep going back for more cause the same thing never happens twice.this is a true strategy game not some lame rip off like other games that claim to be really good strategy games,in my opinion only RTS games are strategy games cause you never know what your opponents doing cause youre to busy worrying about what you’re doing your self.
YOU CANT BEAT COMMAND AND CONQUER EVER!!!!!!!!!!

by camerondobby (ross-on-wye,hereford,england)
it was very good, before i played it i only saw it on youtube, i thought it looked goof, but the resolution was bad, so i had to look at it, (and play) the game, it was a bit choppy at first, but then i found it got better, and now i love it! it is part of my best games collection, to all that made it well done.

A Great Game for any RTS Fan., Mar 19, 2008
by Shade Trigger (USA)
C & C Gold is a great game as all C & C games are. It is a must have for any RTS fan. The way they made each faction function gives it a great feel for the overall story and gameplay mechanics. Compared to most other games C & C is a solid game and has withstood the test of time. When I first played the game I thought it was going to be like the other RTS games I played, where they dropped you right into the thick of things with no tutorials or easy missions. I was wrong, the first few levels were just like tutorials in the sense that they were easy and explained the controls. I feel that any player can pick up this game and learn the controls by the time they get into the big battles. It was a great experience and I hope you have the same amount of fun I had.
