I have played quite a few games over the years and some have been like the original and some not.
But this game is so so so much like the original it is fantastic.
Even down to the feel of the pump and the next monster getting past you as the other is pumped.
And it also misses the right direction as you change digging tunnel if your a little slow just like the original.
The monsters becoming ghosts and following you even when you change direction and leading them up the tunnel to the rock that is coming down is so much fun.
