Let me warn you first: this game is rated M (17 and up) for a reason. There is more gore, blood, violence, limbs, exploding aliens, and gobs of goo then I’ve seen in a game thus far. Now if you’re like me, this just makes the game ridiculous and absolutely awesome. While the game is over-the-top, sometimes corny, and terribly bloody, there is a decent action-oriented isometric shooter here. There is a decent set of weapons, each which can be upgraded by spending cash. Typical of RPGs, there are also skill points which can be spent on accuracy, stamina, etc. The game isn’t extremely deep (I had no idea why I was killing aliens), but it’s fun nevertheless and serves a camp-fest of entertainment. Now to the not so great parts; the story. Well, there really isn’t a story. The graphics could also use and update, but it still is impressive when you see the messy aftermath of a level. Sound is decent but not great. All things considered, this game scores a 4/5 on my scale. Great for violent fun, but don’t expect a story equal to a Shakespeare piece.
