54321 SCRABBLE SAVES THE WORLD!, Aug 31, 2009

by Dawnie Grey (Napa, CA)

Scrabble has been instrumental in not only developing my vocabulary, spelling, communication and strategy but in strengthening my personal relationships and effectively raising myself to a higher standard that makes me feel proud. I began seriously playing Scrabble when I discovered people at a popular coffee house having the best time and witnessing the intensity and personal investment so many had in this family board game. Sure, I played growing up, out camping, with family and friends. But, once I got handed a sheet with all the two and three letter words my whole concept of this game changed radically. I became engrossed and enthralled with the real dynamics of this awesome game and thought how they could be used as a tool, a new way for everyone to vastly improve not only our language and memories, but how we connect and relate to one another. With the power of words, the deliberate way we use them and manifest our lives by them, Scrabble teaches us a wonderfully diverse way to metaphorically and literally use our vocabulary, the very language, basic words that can easily put us at odds or in the same corner, to interact and engage with everyone in our lives by using the concept behind the game. To state simply and straightforwardly what you want to say, how you want to be understood and how to most effectively engross yourself with others. Communication can be easy and have the capacity to change worlds, personal relationships, the very lives we share with people of all ages and nationalities, from every aspect of society across the board. This in itself is such a powerful understanding. Any person wishing to express themselves more effectively or to understand others in equal measure should learn this game and add it’s principles to their everyday living. It makes me feel smarter, more compassionate and aware of how I really communicate with others. Like a miracle cure for teenagers and parents, a conduit for diverse political or religious backgrounds and a game you can set up anywhere anytime and instantly be “in the moment”. This is the greatest game ever invented and we should ALL learn to play together…in peace. Find your JOY again in SCRABBLE, it can save the world!

54321 Wow! it's the one we are looking for., Aug 31, 2009

pros: Gone are the days when playing scrabble on PC was a video game experience. Here’s a game which is as real as playing the real game.
The game’s awesome, the graphics mind blowing. Game play is totally addictive. The in-built dictionary is great. Nobody can tell what’s going to be next and any other thing in the game is what a gamer needs for his time to pass. Absolutely giving $19.99 is worth it. The game’s got more than that. It’s speechless
cons: nothing.

54321 Scrabble is entertainment and test in one, Aug 10, 2009

by Kogi Singh (Durban, South Africa)

I have been playing scrabble on my computer for at least two years, having bought the game on-line. (Unfortunately, when my system was attacked by a virus, I lost my favorite evening pastime!)
It’s a mind-boggling, intense match of skills, from which I’ve learned new words I did not know existed - though I was a lecturer in English. As a 70 year old, I find that Scrabble keeps my wits in excellent working order and my brain ticking overtime. When I last played, a week ago, I had beaten VETERAN by 4 games - we played about 160 in all.
It’s a favorite with my grandchildren, though they cheat by using the help offered!
My 14 year old granddaughter has beaten me fair and square 3 times. Scrabble is an excellent game of planning and strategy.

This game not only strengthens ones vocabulary, but the option of playing it against differently ranked opponents and in different modes, apart from the classic mode, just make it a must have game for sure.

This game is really helpful!

Great game for me, 65 years old, showing signs of memory loss. I have only been playing for four months and it seems to do the trick, keeping my mind occupied and superb gaming layout with dictionary. I have played several versions, but this is the best by far.

54321 You better Scramble for Scrabble!, May 21, 2009

by Pedro Rodriguez (New York)

It’s Supercalifragalisticexpialadocious!!!

Even before I got the full version, the Demo alone was great! Imagine the full version!

What better way to have fun, improve spelling and vocabulary all at the same time!

When playing the Demo I’ve learned the meanings of words like:

1.lilliputian - extremely small(adj)
2.brobdingnagian - extremely large(adj)
3.epizeuxis - emphatic repetition of a word(n)

You get the idea.

Also, it’s not just another PC game, it’s a
social and intellectual gathering with
family, relatives, and friends which usually
leads to discussions about a variety of
topics. So if you want a chance at improving
relationships, this is the way to go.  Have fun!

54321 WHY GO ESLEWHERE FOR SCRABBLE, Aug 23, 2008

by Leroy Jason (Steep Falls, Maine)

After buying the Scrabble at a well known retailer, I found that it would not load into my computer.
After much frustration I returned it to the place of purchase.

It was amazing how easily this game loaded; it is as complete as one could ever want.  The dictionary is extremely complete and the hint feature can really increase ones vocabulary.

Try it, buy it, you’ll love it!

43211 Scrabble review, Aug 19, 2008

by Leslie (Reno, NV)

This was as great as playing with my mom when she was alive. I haven’t played in 19 years and it was so challenging. I played for hours! It’s great because I love to play games with me and the computer. I came up with some pretty good words! I think it would be really great for teenagers to help them with their vocabulary. I have been playing Bookworm and this is more challenging. It was worth the time installing it. I’ve been out of work for seven months so I can’t afford to order the game yet but I will as soon as I get a job. I loved it!!!!

54321 fun intelligence, Aug 19, 2008

this game is not only fun it also helps the brain to work and enhaces our vocabulary. this is a good source of learning for children. children can learn and play at the same time with scrabble unlike other video games that negatively influence children and teens causing real life crimes. the game is fun and its a great way to spend time with the family at any given time. scrabble has brought my family closer.other than that what is kind of hard is being able to shuffle the letters but at the same time not getting new letters. over all the game is great and i rather play scrabble before monopoly, chess, clue, bingo, etc. scrabble is great and its also hard to put away. thank you!!

54321 Scrabble Review, Jul 31, 2008

by William Junod (Philadelphia, PA USA)

I’m 65 years old and retired. I stay home a lot enjoying TV, reading and playing on line games. I especially enjoy playing scrabble. This game of scrabble is especially enjoyable because the letters are large and easy to manuver.
Playing word games like yours keeps my mind alert and also, with hints ( (:-) ) I learn new words
Thanks for the enjoyment.
