OLD versus NEW

I purchased a monopoly BOARD game for the family when we planned a holiday away and the kids actually played one game with us, yes only one game. They found it stupid & boring and as they put it.. “It’s a board game for babies.. ?!”. Needless to say we played the game each night after the kids went to bed and we never got bored with it. We visited a friend on the way back from the holiday and ended up staying over for the night. Kids will be kids and they soon found out that their new friends have a PC and they ended up playing computer games as that’s what kids do these days. My friends kids had a trial Monopoly 3 on their PC and the kids stayed up till the early hours of the morning playing it, haha got you…
Anyway I grew up with monopoly and I liked it a lot. Because we were poor and a lot of cousins visited the grand parents house over the festive holiday breaks we always ran out of “cash”. One such year I “printed” more notes and our parents actually “played” us out of the game that X-Mass…
Where can one obtain a legal version of the game for Vista and XP?
Try it, it’s great.

The game is easy to play compared to some old fashion types I have tried, the graphics are rich and beautiful to behold. It is captivating playing with the computer, so much that I exhausted the trial period without stopping at a single play. It was fun, no regrets downloading & installing it. I consider it better than playing on the physical board. The game is good for adults and kids as it teaches money management, investment decision making, risk taking, profit making e.t.c.
The game is worth the cost, however more people will be able to afford it and benefit indirectly or directly by playing it, if the price is lower.

Great, but I cant find the original 1994 game anywhere:(  I have to say I love the cleverly animated tokens…It’s so much fun to pick a token and guess how it will move along on the board. I used to play the board game with my mother, but we used to make a lot of mistakes and accuse each other of cheating. However, with the computer version, you can’t cheat and you can’t make mistakes, the computer does it all!! Also, to lighten up the mood when someone is sent to jail we used to pretend to shoot at the police car with our fingers. If someone was being frequently jailed we would say,“Your visiting some new friends again?” The other player would say,” Yup, I make quite a few.” This game is great for kids 13 on up because a small child might get confused with the money, bidding, jailing, morgage…ect. Great game and great site…It is well worth your money!!  Hope my review helped you in deciding whether or not you want to buy or play this great game!

Remember your childhood days?  I remember sitting down and playing this game during family game nights or with friends over.  Monopoly 3 allows you to have that again with even more features.  Animations, sound, gameplay—just everything is fantastic!  You have the option of playing with the house rules or modifying them to fit your own needs and/or wants.  You can add more players and/or even play online to get the full effect and to see how good you really are.  If you’re into graphics, monoply 3 gives you just that.  It’s packed with brilliant color and texture and you won’t be disappointed with any aspect of this game!  If you’re looking for a fun game to play with your family, your children, your friends, or even just by yourself, this is definitely a game you want to check out!  It’s a great value and definitely worth looking into.  So give it a try!

I think that Monopoly 3 is a very well-written game. I find it better than any other version of the game I have played before, online as well as the board game. I liked the fact that you can customize the rules so you can play many different ways, and not just the way that a game would tell you to play. I would recommend this game to anyone with any interest in Monopoly

It’s just like the normal one but on your computer. It is very fun. On the computer there are also great graphics. It is basicly just like the normal one but you can play it whenever you want. On the real one you have to get people to play it with you.

I have played quite a few Monopoly video games, but they are always lacking.  This one however is extremely fun to play, and reproduces the experience of playing "real" Monopoly quite well.

The graphics are very good.  The tokens are animated and talk.  And there is play-by-play throughout the game too.  There are also settings to disable this if you don’t like it.

You can also play standard Monopoly rules or choose many modified rules that many people like to play (like the Free Parking rule).

You can also choose the standard Monopoly board or other city boards to play.

You can play against multiple computer opponents or you can play online against live opponents.

There is one significant bug however.  The AI trading mechanism constantly interrupts what you are doing.  Even if I am in the middle of a trade, the AI will interrupt me and do a trade of his own.  Sometimes frustrating.

Even with that, it was well worth purchasing.  I’m glad I bought it.  I think you will be too.

This is terrific! With this version of Monopoly I no longer have to wait for someone else to play with me. There are only two criticisms I have; first it is hard to read the property cards and second the movement of the board makes me feel dizzy at times. I have always loved this game since childhood. Now I can play anytime.

Very realistic, exciting and challenging,it is really addictive and requires time and attention.  I never believed that this game can be real as if you are in your living room playing with friend and family.  You learn money management,real estate buying along with all the other skill needed to function in the real world.  I love this game and would continue playing it.  I also encourage my friend to play so that they would get a sense of real world issues in buying and selling.  I didn’t believe that playing against a computer would be so much fun, but it is since you can play anytime and anywhere, for instance when you travel you can carry your readily companion along with no additional cost.

the last time I played Monopoly was as a child on a board with wooden houses/hotels, and metal playing pieces, against older siblings who always won.  What a delight to play a fast, exciting,animated game against the computer, with swift decisions, and no cheating by the banker slipping a few extra notes into his pile! Just as colorful, and as much fun as I remember the game to be.  Great!  But the US game is a bit strange to me as a Brit, expecting Trafalgar Square and Park Lane, so I had to keep looking to see how upmarket places were.  Still, loved it anyway!

this game is the best you’ll ever play. its so much fun with property trading and all. if u start then u just cant stop playing it. i love this game. this game is a great one and i garrentee anyone who plays it will enjoy it. it has cool stuff like trading things buying properties and cool stuff. but it is also nicely and smartly made. if u want a game to pass the time its the best u can get. in it you basically have to be the richest man and avoid getting bankrupt. you have to buy properties to collect rent, be a little lucky and also give rent etc. you buy three things of the same color and u can build hotels etc. to collect jumbo rent. but be careful or u mioght have to pay much more than that. trade with other people and gain what you want. play smartly or you’ll be gone. learn how 2 do business and you will hve gr8 fun. you also get into jail and u can hve loads of fun trying to beat your family or friends or if there isnt any1 around,the computer. its worth buying and downloading.

This is a Modern update to the classic game. Monopoly on the PC makes it more easy for kids to play without worrying about handling the money or the property cards. This is a great alternative to buying the board game. My whole family liked it and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
