54321 The Best Risk Game Ever, Jul 17, 2008

by Tyler (Big Clifty, KY USA)

This has to be the best Risk game. I have the board version and it takes forever to set it up. That is just for like 3 players. You can only imagine how long it takes for 6 players. On this Risk game it takes less than a few seconds to get set up, even for 6 players. I really like what they did to the battles. It puts you there with your units. I also like the hot seat game. I have even played the first risk computer game and I like the second one better. This has to be the greatest Risk game ever.

43211 The Best Board Game, Jul 07, 2008

by Tyler Bliss (Aitkin,MN)

This game has action and strategy, graphics and design this is the big chillupa. When I first played the free trial I thought "WOW!" It was worth that fee, Heck that was generous, this game makes the board games seem primative .The action sequences are an unexpected touch to an already sweet game plus you don’t need other people.

54321 blooming awesome, Jul 05, 2008

by liam beresford (Radcliffe, Manchester, Lancashire England)

Its a great strategy game and after playing the risk 2 you won’t wan’t to go back to the normal boardgame. the best part is is that you don’t have to spend about half an hour setting up. the only bad thing is that you never seem to want to get off it.  grnded.  other than that it is a great game for those who love turn-based strategy and the battles are awesome.  5/5

43211 totally adictive totally awsome, Jul 04, 2008

by mathew conroy (Lismoure N.S.W. Australia)

A friend of mine recently got me playing risk 2 and i have not stopped since.I always loved games like K Dice and civs but could never find a game mixed up with a bit of luck brains and strategy now i have and i strongly recomend playing risk 2 if u like a game that requires taught strategy’s and all out war over territories you can make it as hard or as eazy as you want u can even play with a few mates and see who’s got the brains out of you all. So if your looking for a challenge or just want to have fun RISK 2 is the game for you. There’s nothing to lose download it and try it for free.

43211 An Improvement, Jun 30, 2008

Risk 2 is like the real game, but it is improved so it doesn’t take as much time to start and play a game. The battle animations are cool, and the massive armies you can get are even more awesome.

WOW, where to start. Lacking everything from smooth game play and/or a quick, simple to use game-face, this version of Risk has been by far the worst yet. I’ve had an opportunity to play a few of these free trials and risk 2 provided no real rhythm. With its constant interruptions of whats happening, like I don’t know, its risk people, not that hard to figure out. If your looking for a game to sit and go this is not the one for you, but then again maybe you enjoy irritating pop-ups from the computer telling you what you need to do next. One good thing, and I mean one , about this game is that it offered the ability to allie with the computer during game play.

54321 Amazing!, Jun 14, 2008

by Chad (Michigan, USA)

~*~First Off~*~
Well, right off the bat I knew it was going to be a great game because it was risk! great graphics, and game play is awsome!
~*~LIKES~*~
I loved how it showed the men fighting, that was a great feature, also how you could make alliances, that helped me alot ;) I liked the different views as well, and the globe was pretty cool.  The three different types of games were AMAZING! I liked Clasic the best though.  Also, the way you could choose colors and names was just another great feature.  The voices were pretty sweet, and the instructions were well layed out (even though I didn’t really need them).
~*~Dislike~*~
Who am I kidding, theres nothing to dislike about this game!
~*~Conclusion~*~
GREAT GAME! I recomend for ages 5+ or 4 or 3 or 2. hey, whenever you learn how to use a computer, thats when you should play it ;)

32121 Good if, Jun 12, 2008

Risk has long been my favorite game. I like the concept and competition. From graphics and feel this game is quite good; worthy of the original board game but there are some real draw backs and missed opportunities.

1 - Other PC versions of the game offer you many different maps to keep you interested, even additional facilities and options.

2 - The ability to automate the dice rolling; it is so tedious if you are a person more interested in the game play rather than the minutia of the original. Make it quicker.

3 - ooooooo sooooooooooo slooooooooow. With a dual core processor and still i wait for ‘things to happen’

4 - Smart Army placing rather than click, click, click . . . .

Yet, all said and done, possibly when version 3 come out, this may be a good game if the author focuses on making the game play quick, easy and customizable first and then the graphic gratification.

43211 An excellent rendition of the board game., Jun 10, 2008

by Daniel G. (Indiana, USA)

For anyone not familiar with Risk, it is a strategy board game in which you try to take over the world. The rules are fairly simple to learn, and the strategy is unique per person. Beware that you don’t spread your forces out too thin. This version is the best I’ve ever played short of the one for PS2. I enjoy the amount of customization allowed in the game, and the ability to play against other players keeps it from getting stale against the computer A.I. It might go over the head of those too young, but a 10 year-old could grasp the game.

54321 The best game ever!, Jun 09, 2008

by Jordan Rose (Oakley, ID USA)

This game is very easy to play and easy on newbies.  There are useful tutorials and gameplay is simply amazing.  Fans of risk, here is the best you can get.  There are a number of AI so I never got tired of the same strategies.  I was also impressed with the amount of options there were compared to some other risk games I have played.  This game is entertaining although frustrating at times.  It takes a while to download, but it is much more than worth it.  I did not like, however the amount of people you could fortify (tactical move).  Otherwise, an outstanding game with outstanding music.
