43211 Amazing tribute!, Jun 02, 2007

by Adrian (Melbourne, VIC Australia)

Risk 2 is an amazing strategy game for both strategy and war fanatics alike. A great tribute to the original board game only with more options and far less hassle! A great game for anyone over the age of 12. If you like games such as conquest or civilization 3 than you will love this! Well worth the wait in downloading!

43211 Great deal, Jun 01, 2007

by Andrew (Okanogan, WA USA)

I have been a fan of Risk for many years now and this definitively tops it off. Many of the other games that can be bought are not nearly as well put together as this risk game. I have played Risk 2 for two weeks and am extremely glad i payed the measly $20 for an awesome game. It is a quick download on highspeed internet and does not require monthly play, with the many different options, it is definitely top of the line. Instead of spending countless hours trying to finish one board game why not play a new person every time in half the time it would take you to play on the board. This is one good game!!!

32121 this game is okay..., May 22, 2007

I found that the graphics were adequate and the game play straight forward. If you like the board game than you’ll like this virtual version as well. No big thrills or flashy gimmicks. Just the basics. Not a lot different than the board game.

54321 ahh, the good old days xD, May 21, 2007

this game is a lot less chaotic than the board game, which i kind of like. You do not have to have 20 actual guys in a little area, but when you attack you have 20 guys, it just looks like one. very smart.

The game was very interesting and enjoyable but the only thing I think that could improve is the graphics.

54321 Well worth the price..., May 04, 2007

by Tyler V. (Stillwater MN, USA)

It’s every thing the board game is and more. Personally I liked playing the board game but got sick of having to set it up all the time. it was also hard to find some one to play with when I wanted to. It was also cool how the technology of playing it on a computer puts a new spin on it. So I say its worth the price.

43211 an amazing new or old risk, Apr 20, 2007

by risk master01 (red deer ,ab canada)

It is great to finally be able to play risk without long setups and u can imediatly get to the action is this exciting new game of risk. with either the old classic map or new territories to add a hole new twist to the game play and with the new same time risk you can have even more fun making battle plans to destroy your enemies or either lead your self into your own doom. what is also great is the fact that the computers are actually surprisingly smart and will feed off any mistakes you make so watch out and plan every move. with all that said i’m very happy to say its a great game and everyone should try it good luck and i hope u do good in all your battles.

54321 Risk 2 Review, Apr 20, 2007

by Ty Moeller (Calgary, AB Canada)

I found Risk 2 to be a very fun game. For starters you don’t need anyone to play it with and you can finish the game in a shorter time period. I found the battle sequences when you attack another opponent to be very entertaining, it takes your mind off of the fact that you probably are going to be rolling the dice quite a bit. Also the ability to choose classic risk is a good quality added towards this game. The cinematics of the game aren’t the best but the quality of game play takes your mind off of them. The battle sequences are rather long but overall I think this is the best risk game you could buy to date.

54321 Risk II, Apr 15, 2007

by Anonymous (Brisbane, QLD AUS)

Really, there’s not many things better. I’ve been strolling around in sites, and find out that most wargames I come across are either: DOS-only, Bad Graphics, Bad Gameplay, Boring, Too Hard, Not Challenging, Too Expensive etc. And I had to put my cursor away from the "DOWNLOAD NOW" link.

Risk, is different. The original owner (MicroProse) was very great, but it’s old and is a bit too old in this 64-bit age of computing. Now RISK II is a brand new game for everyone to play! Nice graphics, the sound can’t be done any better and perfect gameplay I must say I really loved it! And I’m sure any risk-takers, gamblers, strategists or just the average joe would absolutly love this enthralling game. If you get the demo and then the time runs out you feel compelled to get the full version. Get it!!! its defiantly worth it. Anyone can play, even my 8yr old cousin played it…. and won!! Honestly it is one of the best games i’ve played in a long time!!!

43211 Strategy Lovers Game, Apr 12, 2007

by Julianna Best (North Granby, CT USA)

Anybody who likes strategy games will like this game. It’s fun, and it makes you think. I’d totally buy this game if I had the money. So much better than Monopoly. Risk II is a game based on World domination, and requires both skill and luck, so you can still win even if you have no clue what you’re doing. Although I recommend that you now what you’re doing because It just makes the whole experience better.  I also love the fact that you can play with friends like you would the regular board game, or you can face the computer when nobody is around. If this isn’t a good board game, then I don’t know what a good board game is.

43211 Awesome Game Well made, Apr 09, 2007

by Gabe Glenn (Novi, MI USA)

The graphics are create and so is the gameplay. The game has a wide range of players about ages 10 years and up. I didn’t like how the dimpolmatic agreements worked. Allying yourself with someone is to difficult. The game is worth the time downloading and worth the money. I also liked how the fights are staged on a real battlefield. I hope this review helped you decide.

54321 Amazing board-like game play on PC!, Apr 08, 2007

by Thomas (Clarksville, TN USA)

If you like the original version of this great board game you’ll LOVE Risk II for PC! Multiple game modes make every game more interesting. Try tournament mode for specific challenging missions. Play against AI players or real life friends.

I love this PC version because there’s no waiting for others to take their turn (you can speed up the AI attacks) and the roll of the dice is instant. Most times the game of Risk can take hours to complete sitting around the table, with Risk II you can complete so many game in the same amount of time!!!

32121 Good graphics, but not worth the money, Apr 05, 2007

by Mary (Dallas, TX)

My biggest problem: Not enough game options. I wanted to change the skill of the computers, and I really did not like how at the end of each turn you could only move armies into "neighboring" territories. I don’t think a lot of people play like this, and they should at least offer an option to turn this off. However, if you do play like this, and only want one skill level for the computers, it’s a good buy.

54321 Greatest strategy game!, Apr 03, 2007

by David Manusov (friendswood, tx USA)

I was bored so i chose a random game and now I really love the game it takes you through the steps different types of ways you can play. This is one of my favorite games. If you want to be good you need luck and skill. This is the greatest game ever!

54321 This game Rocks!!!, Mar 26, 2007

by Samuel Meyer (USA)

This game makes the old board game edition look like a Sunday afternoon nap!!  This game is loads of fun for both kids and adults.  The game was user friendly and easy to understand.  A 10 year old could easily navigate his way around in this game.  This game is alot better than many of the "arcade" type of games out there on the internet. Risk2 sends the players on a journey where they are required to use strategies and really think about what their next move will be.  If you are concerned about the time that it takes to download Risk2, don’t be.  Risk2 took only a few minutes to download and I was ready to play in a very short amount of time.  After the download, Risk2 worked very well and we had a great time playing.  The only bad part about the game was when the "introdutory time" ran out and we had to quit our game.  We wanted to play some more.  I would recommend Risk2 to anyone and everyone.

54321 I Loved It!, Mar 26, 2007

by matt (St. Louis MO USA)

I really enjoyed this game. It kept my interest and i could play it for hours at a time. The game and general style remain true to the idea of the board game and are very easily picked up. The controls are simple but the keep the game fun. This is a great strategy game much better than the board game for certain features like tournament and single player modes. The graphics could have been better but the game focused more on the AI which was realistic and a challenge once you got to the harder levels. There are AI players for people of all skill levels. I would recommend this game to anyone, it is well worth the time and money. I loved the game.

54321 Wow!!A Great Game!, Mar 23, 2007

by Kevin (Quincy,MA USA)

An addicing game!Risk left me on the computer for a whole long time, its so addicting,I can’t even bear getting off!You can start as one position and try to conquer the world!!The next thing you know you may do just that and win the game and even restart in a different position!Every different start means you can conquer the whole world again in another one of your ways!Otherwise, you can stay as your postion and take the enemies down in a different strategy or just the same! You can even edit the game, like how much each place/continent is worth! You can also switch the gametype! But as usually theres always more fun if you try more! This game is so good,60 minutes isn’t enough,a whole day isn’t enough, probably for the rest of your life is!$20 is such a cheap price for a game like this so buy today!
