Great-Perfect Blend of Hidden Object and Mystery, May 28, 2010
by Jeff (Seattle, WA USA)
When I bought this game, I expected nothing more than your run-of-the-mill hidden object game. I was wrong. Mystery Case Files Ravenhearst combines the hidden object genre with puzzle-solving and mystery elements. Featuring a “ghost-story” type storyline driven by fictional journal entries, MCF: Ravenhearst has simple gameplay perfectly suited for casual gamers. After hidden object sequences, the game will break off into a puzzle and players must solve it to proceed to the next sequence. The graphics are eerie and photorealistic, although they lack a high resolution. Still, the atmosphere is unbeatable. Speaking of which, the audio track is stunning. The scenes come to life as you hear creaks and groans of an old house, the cackling of a raven, or the ghostly whispers of the unknown. The music perfectly complements the sound effects, as its unnerving nature blends with the rest of the game. I was not disappointed with this game, and I highly recommend it to others.
Overview: Mystery Case Files Ravenhearst is a creepy hidden-object experience that rivals most others. Recommended for hidden object lovers and others alike.

The best thing that attracts me to the game is the use of sepia tone of color and play of light on the scenes. The sound effect is fantastic and keeps me alert when i suddenly hear either footsteps or phantom voices somewhere near-Super! I can almost inhale the musty smell. The objects are easy to recognize once I can locate them.Must say they are very cleverly hidden and a deep satisfaction is found after discovering them. The walls and the furniture and their topsy turvy arrangement befitting to the scenario is unique. A very relaxing and satisfactory time spend at Ravenhearst.

this voyage through Mystery Case Files ravenhearst is one of the best journeys ever. the theme reminds me of agatha christie’s novels and that only one of the features. the clues are inexaustable and they keep changing from round to round and the puzzles are incredibly resourceful. the game keeps you locked in your house and the suspense is close to the limit. after long hours only am i able to close it and the tv is history, not to mention that it helps me improve perception and, why not, my vocabulary.
than you

I just got addicted to this game. It challenges not only your eyes but also your mind. The lock puzzles are incredible, you need all your imagination to solve them. The story is stimulating. The jig saw puzzles are extremely captivating. Besides, I learned a lot of new words as I am a Spanish speaker. In short, IT IS GREAT!

I love this game. Too bad it only lasts 30 min or so. I read somewhere you can now buy simular games in stores, but I have yet to find it. I just love it. Will be ordering it soon. Try the other simular free downloads and the feeling will last longer.

MCFR the latest of the Mystery Case Files series. In my opinion, it is the best so far. What I do like about this one is that it is a more cohesive game in both storyline and graphics. In the beginning, you will get a diary entry from a lady who lived there that provides clues and the uncovered mystery. Your job is to discover it, it’s just that simple! Ok, I’m not trying to explain the details here because you can read this website’s review for more comprehensive features.
Pros: The graphics are absolutely incredible. The production vaule and quality of the game seem to get better and better. Many new and interesting puzzles! Very challenging, too. Amazing and clean sound effects, from the creepy music to the scary sounds.
Cons: I am playing the trial and I don’t think there is any flaw for this game so far.
Overall, I highly recommend this game. Every loyal fan of puzzle and challenging game genre should try it. What? You don’t like it? Are you even human?

I really like the graphics. There are great visual effects that make it interesting play. This was a fun game. I plan on buying this game. Thanks for the trial download. There was enough of the trial time to know whether or not I liked it. I liked it very much.
