Great-Excellent Storytelling, but rather short., May 28, 2010
by Jeff (Seattle, WA USA)
This game is, hands down, one of my favorites. Starting up the game for the first time, I was instantly immersed in the wonderful surreal world Dream Chronicles had to offer. With its spectacular graphics, and its dreamy atmosphere and story, Dream Chronicles is an excellent example of how storytelling should be intertwined with gameplay. The gameplay is fairly simplistic, varying slightly from the traditional point-and-click games for a more streamlined, hidden object approach. This new approach definitely works, though, and the game is geared toward casual gamers as well. The storyline was surprising and even touching, and the crisp audio voice-overs and magical sound effects equally add to the immersion. However, this experience was unfortunately short, and leaves want for more.
Overview: Dream Chronicles is a spectacular hidden object/point and click game, that, combined with great visuals and storyline, becomes a truly memorable game. A must buy.

I really love the game, because there is a lot of adventure and because I can make the time go by with it

make you call in sick to work fun!, Jun 23, 2009
by Kathy Elniski (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)
On a lazy Sunday I decided to pick up the ol’ computer to see what I could find for entertainment. In the past I was lucky enough to stumble across Dream Chronicles 1 and 2. I finished both, leaving me hungry for more. Imagine my surprise when I typed in dream chronicles only to find.. THE CHOSEN CHILD RELEASED MAY 09! Just when you think the makers could not outdo the last version.. they did it again. DC3 is a wonderful guilty pleasure. The game does take a little time to install but trust me… go get in your comfy cloths, make some popcorn and call in sick to work while your waiting for it to download. (for me it was about 15 minutes.. on wireless) The game has a very cute story line appropriate for all ages. (I’m 28 and loved it) In “DC” 1 and 2 the dream jewels are not very important to pick up ... more like bonus jewels. In version 3, save yourself some time and FIND THOSE HIDDEN DREAM JEWELS. These are scattered throughout the game. There is a sort of search and find certain items to unlock puzzles and mini games that will keep your mind healthy trying to figure them out. The graphics are really quite good and pull you into the game with realism. There is a scene where you are in a kitchen and have to make different potions. This part for me was the most challenging and rewarding. The answers really are all in the book…. just as it says. The only thing I wished the game had were just a few hints to use when you are completely stuck. I found myself resorting to “other means of help” because I was completely stuck. I still have not finished it but I am seriously contemplating buying it.
If you’re thinking about downloading it, do yourself a favor. I’m telling you… do it on a weekend so you don’t have to call in sick…. cause you will.
Have fun.

They game is very interesting a total attention getter! I love it! So far i’ve liked everything, except its a little slow with the dream stones it shouldnt have to go on about what every one is for it takes to much time. Also the graphics are really cool too.

well worth my time, May 10, 2008

I loved the storyline with fairies and such. The games were good. I had a hard time figuring out what was expected of me on some of them, but they were quite challenging.
I sometimes wished there was a way to speed up some of the visual narration. I had to wait for the words to go away long after I had finished reading them.
Overall, it was quite worthwhile and I’m sure I’ll be playing Dream Chronicles 2!

Best Online Download Ever!!!, Feb 16, 2008

This game is amazing! The graphics are incredible and it is challenging enough for me, a college student, but not too challenging for kids. It is a very family oriented and it is attention-grabbing and exciting. Ive stayed up the last two nights in a row until 3 am to win this game. The full version is definitely worth it, because I was sad when the free trial ran out. I was so driven by the game and the desire to finish it, I just had to get the full version. Best 20 dollars I ever spent. I’ve played a lot of "online download" games and this is definitely one of my favorites, and the most interesting and the most adequately challenging. I would also recommend Dream Chronicles 2, which also got me addicted. I would recommend this game to everone!

At first i found it hard to get the gist of the game- the demo over I had to buy it and then i couldn’t get enough of it - i would come home after a very busy day at work and find myself playing for 2 hours or more and had to get to the next scene - the best was the rememberence of tunes and at 2 oclock in the morning the brain isnt at all bright - I am 56 and just loved it - very disappointed that there wasn’t a follow up 2 game. especially when i got to the end- please tell me there is a sequel

This game was very addicting. It really makes you use your brain. Not only is it a puzzle you need to solve but you need to collect items to repair or fix before you can move to the next area. This is fun for everyone, no matter your age. Would play this over and over again Great game.

‘Dream chronicles" is a real treat for those who love to play games…the way whole storyline is built is amazing, i loved playing it…though i’ve just played the trial….the best part is the way the story is told, it feels as if someone is guiding u in person…it was a wholesome experience, except one place where i got stuck, it was the tree house where i couln’t find any clue to move ahead but overall it was a nice play….as compared to other arcade games, dream chronicles is better option as it gives an exercise to ur mind as well….i’ve not played the full version but i’m sure that the full version will be worth it…all in all it as a good thing if played with presence of mind.

Extremely Good, Oct 22, 2007

I really love this game. A mere 30 minutes of playing has gotten me to love it. The story line is really nice (it has the ‘in a land far, far away’ quality about it). I didn’t think that searching for hidden items could be this much fun, but it’s a real challenge most of the time. But you get enough help (if you can’t find an item and you wait for a few seconds, it sparkles). So the game is very well balanced. And the graphics are so beautiful. I really wish I could get the full version and finish the whole game. I’m so curious about how it ends. :( I was so sad when the trial ended!! Hee.
Try it. It is really, really nice. And the fact that the story is about a woman trying to save her husband….I like that it differs from the usual "save the princess" stereotype. Very cool.

This game has it all, it’s like playing 2 games, keeps you thinking and relaxing at the same time. You can’t go wrong with this game if you like hidden-object games, and if you have never tried one before, you will be hooked. looking for clues and objects, a real brain stimulator. Words dont do this game justice . try it you’ll be glad you did!

I love this game. It’s like a hidden object puzzle only it’s filled with action and adventure also. It’s a little hard to find the objects but overall the game is great.
