Sweeney Todd combines elements of both an adventure and hidden objects game, searching for new areas to locate objects.

Walkable Hidden Object Game

The player navigates movement through the game, attempting to uncover the whereabouts of a missing person last seen entering Sweeney Todd's barber shop.

Unlike other games of a similar design, the adventure element does not detract much time from hunting objects. In each new location visited there are several areas to hunt for objects in which some objects found unlock other new areas.

Some Puzzles are Very Challenging

Especially to the fan of the Sweeney Todd tale, the story mode is enticing and provokes anticipation as to what clue will be revealed next. Perhaps the only major negative aspect is the puzzles that factor into your final game score, some of which are very difficult. Fortunately, puzzles do not need to be completed to advance to the next stage in the game.

Overall, Penny Dreadful's Sweeney Todd is an intriguing game that effectively combines adventure with object hunting and will likely provide hours of excitement.
