The third installment in the Mortimer Beckett series, the Time Paradox, jumps between many time periods searching for the scattered pieces of a “time bomb.” Although the story itself is less than exciting, the many time periods visited are colorful and can be fun to play.
Needs More Clarity For Some Puzzles
Objects themselves have been broken up and scattered throughout each level, so they must be found piece by piece and restored to their original location. Unfortunately, it is much too easy to come to a halt in the game as many items must be unlocked by first completing a puzzle or restoring another item. It is often very unclear what must be done to find the missing object piece which can leave a player unable to progress onward.
Hope You Aren't Worried About Historical Accuracy
On a side note, searching for compact discs in revolutionary France or blenders in the Wild West may become annoying if you are expecting a historically accurate trip through time.
Conclusion - Doesn't Distinguish Itself
While the Time Paradox does feature fun and vibrant locations, it is too easy to run into a roadblock and become stuck in time, leaving a game that is easy to walk away from.
