One of THE BEST RACING GAMES EVER, April 15, 2008 Reviewer: Will Marsh from Petaluma, CA USA
14 of 14 people found this review helpful This is a great racing game for people of all ages. People who are expecting a Need For Speed game though, will be disappointed with the game because of its realism.
Graphics- 9/10 ISI did great with their Gmotor 2 Engine. Tracks and Cars look realistic.
Physics- 9/10 ISI nailed car physics, from the BMW Sauber F1 car to the new Drift Mod. The only dissapointment is that the is no "true" 4wd.
Sound- 7/10 This game has great sounds and some not so great sounds. The rTrainer mod sounds great; the NSCRS (NASCAR spinoff) sounds terrible. It is one of the best games in terms of sound though.
Moddability- 10/10 EVERYTHING can be modded in this game, from making new tracks to even new car series! ISI created rFactor to be user friendly, and thats sure what happened. There are "mods" from F1 to Dirt stock cars with REALISTIC physics.
This is a great game. This game is best experienced with a Force Feedback Seering Wheel. This is by far the best racing game to date.

This game is awsome, December 12, 2007 Reviewer: Kevin johnson from bakersfield, CA USA
77 of 80 people found this review helpful This game is the best out. the grafics on it are amazing. play online with others such as urself and see how you rank against others. Every type of race car you could possible want is on this game. F1, off road trucks, stock car, all dirt track classes its just amazing. and the number of tracks on this game is outragous as well. You must get this game if you want the best. If you have played DTR2 and you switch and play this you will never go back to DTR2 again its that much better.

Best in its class....., October 13, 2007 Reviewer: Rohit Thapa from Kathmandu, Nepal
60 of 67 people found this review helpful A must try game, I just can't get off it. If you are a racing fan go no further than rfactor. The good thing about rfactor is that it is made base up for racing, no matter what type of racing from karting to f1 to trucking. The standard issue game(full verson) itself is huge. I being a f1 fan started off with the open wheel challenge. You start with slow but highly maneuverable rtrainer car and slowly move up to faster f3 and fIS cars. If you are not 'that' kind of racer then you can try Nascar series or Leinz series for some fantastic races in street type circuits.
Another good thing is that there are lot of mods, addons available on the net. I of course downloaded the f1 mods and they were fantastic. Since most of the circuits in rfactor are either unknown or imaginary circuits, you may want to download some regular f1 circuits. But these being developed independently may not be exact.
Lastly I think this game is surely worth a try, it is surely better than its much hyped rivals.

Welcome to the present and future of online Sim Racing., October 01, 2007 Reviewer: Dave from Halifax, NS, CANADA
13 of 15 people found this review helpful Theres so much to say, this game is just so damn perfect!Where to begin....
With the collapse of great Sim companies like Papyrus, some game has to fill the big shoes. Rfactor is that game. With the most realistic physics system around, it's going to be something that is going to be used by real life drivers and aspiring Sim racers alike. With one of the biggest modding communities out there, it makes it worth anyones while to purchase it. Guaranteed, there is a mod out there that suits your favorite racing series. From F1, to Go-Karts, to the IRL. Hell, I've even seen a drifting mod!
Unfortunately, when it comes to Stock Cars, nothing beats Nascar Racing 2003. Having said that, there are still some NASCAR mods for it, and they aren't half bad.
Overall, a 4.5. Theres still room for improvement on a future version all over, maybe more compatibility for stock car mods, and small glitch fixes, but it's still the best racing game you can get for the money.
RECCOMENDED TO ALL RACING FANS!
