Game Description
Building and driving fast street cars is what Hot Rod is all about. Now you can make that screamin' street machine of your dreams. Use your wrenching experience to go from mediocre to merciless speedster then take her out to the track for a down and dirty drag race.
Start out by buying a fix it car in the newspaper and get it in working order. Race on the streets and earn money to buy better upgrades for your car. You get to buy all kinds of parts for your car from better clutches to tires to mufflers, even custom paint jobs!
As you win more races and customize your car for better quality, you can enter races with bigger stakes, earn more money, and build the custom racing car of your dreams!
While playing American Street Drag you can:
- Take over the garage upgrading your body, chassis & engine with hundreds of parts for 1,000s of combinations
- Scout the Auto Shopper for the car of your dreams, selecting from 20 cars of legendary style, hand picked by the editors of Hot Rod Magazine.
- Build the street rod of your dreams with custom paint jobs and awesome decals.
- Turn your car into a racing champ with hundreds of new and used engine, chassis and body parts, including turbo-boosting nitro.

Wow this game is awesome. Lots of things to do even for the hard core gamer. This could take some time to really master and even then it would still be fun and exciting to play!! Anyway to the point, this game is simply awesome as i said in the title of the review

Haven’t found any drag racing games where you can buy a junker from the newspaper and build it into the ride of your life.
Not to mention the fun of driving and I only played the free version, be nice to know where to find the actual download and buy option…

Wow this game is incredible… even though its an older game this game still is hands down better than any drag racing game iv ever played if you ever want to play a game that you want to buy ur car the way you want THIS IS THAT GAME!!!!!

Well, to be perfectly honest, i hated drag racing. That just made the game that much more appealing to me. When i first saw this game (bare with me, it gets complicated, lol) from my moms boyfriends brother, who owned the full version, i found it quite appealing. He let me play and i ended up getting the hang of it really quickly because of the backround of gamers in my family history. You buy a car, and you have to repair the overly-used parts from the store. You make bets with people for money, and they sometimes even put in stuff, like rims or exhaust kits, as collateral. You can mod out your car with paint jobs, and as you make more money, you can buy better parts and cars. This game was very well thought out and is very fun. It’s very realistic right up to the point that YOU have to change the gears while racing(timing is everything, focus on that) which makes it that much more appealing. I give it 4.5 on 5 because the controls are tricky & is not appealing to every party. Its fun

Man I have to give it to you. This the best game I have ever played and I played a lot. The reason why I like the games is the way the cars sound, run, the time you guys put in on 3d, I have not went to far in cause I had the little free version of it but it was worth the time. To me the only improvement that this game needs is to be more real life racing. What I mean by that is that the cars can lift up, car damage can show, a better variety of cars, more show off parts, that’s about it. Also I think this games is for everybody to enjoy it is worth the money to get the full version (even though I can’t buy it) but all I just love playing this games and I want you to know that no matter what others think about it I still say that this game absolutely owns the five star rating. Thanks for taking your time and reading my review.
