Game Description
Blast Your Enemies into Smithereens
Soldat is an intense, addictive multiplayer experience that will have you blasting your enemies in no time. Experience the fast-paced combat of games like Counter-Strike with the system friendly side-scrolling of games like Worms. Move your soldier around levels, stroll along hills, and use their jet pack to navigate the various tiers of each map as you try to evade the hail of small arms fire.
Fire away with a wide assortment of weapons as you try to defeat your opponents in a variety of game modes. Play against computer controlled bots or take the action online and face off against other players for dominance of the maps.
A Simple Interface
Soldat presents plenty of thrilling action while keeping things easy to pick up and start enjoying. The controls are quite simple with the arrow keys moving your soldier around, the left mouse button fires your weapon, and the right mouse button fires up your jet pack which only needs brief recharge periods to be used again and again.
The death and respawns occur very quickly no matter what game type you choose and expect more than a few deaths due to random bullets spraying from the other side of the map. The fighting is intense with any of the game modes, such as Deathmatch, Pointmatch, Rambomatch, Teammatch, Capture the Flag, Infiltration, or Hold the Flag.
Furious and Chaotic
While the rapid action might not be for all gamers, those who love their gameplay fierce and wild will find Soldat a superb choice. You'll need quick fingertips and careful aim if you have any hope of staying alive, even for a short time. Figure out your favorite weapon, be it the desert eagle or chaingun, and enjoy hours of gameplay.
One of the best parts is that Soldat is totally free. With 7 game modes and at least 42 different maps, it is hard to turn down such a great value. Additionally, there is a possible $9 registration fee which opens up certain features like custom player profiles, a map editor, and the option to use your own MP3s for the soundtrack, but all the core gameplay is absolutely free.

Overall, it is a pretty good game. The gameplay is great and you have plenty of weapons to choose from. When I first played it, it was just a little hard, but as you play it more, you can easily become better. You can also change the bots difficulty to make it easier. The graphics aren’t the best but for me, it was good enough. The best thing about this game is that it doesn’t lag, and you can play online or offline with bots.
I gave this game a 4/5 because of the graphics, but overall, the game is awesome for freeware and is also very addicting.
