The pieces are a better fit for the current generation as well with cell phones, McDonald's French fries, and laptops. You can forget about the four railroad spots because now they are famous American airports, such as LAX, JFK, and Chicago's O'Hare.
Same Great Gameplay
While the board might have been updated, the gameplay mechanics are largely the same. You still make your way around the board buying, selling, and trading well-known U.S. Properties with the ultimate goal of being the last man standing.
Getting used to the change in money values could take some time as it might be a little disconcerting to pay $250,000 for landing on the Atlanta Hartsfield airport, until you realize you have $20 million in the bank.
Great Graphics and Family Fun
Monopoly fans are sure to fall in love with the smooth graphics and simple gameplay controls in Monopoly Here & Now Edition. Watch the pewter pieces as they move around the board with the cell phone flipping open and close or the jet airplane whooshing across the properties. Land on the "Go To Jail" spot and a flashing police car comes to drag you behind bars.
It is also quite easy to buy motels or mortgage your properties with just the clip of a button. Even with the need to be cutthroat and make savvy business deals, the gameplay can be fun for the whole family and players of any age. While there is no on-line multiplayer, you can play with friends on the same computer in a "hot seat" mode.
