Take a Trip Down Memory Lane!

Enjoy the fifth title in this enjoyable series as you move from your store on Main Street to a nice beach front locale. But first, you have to clean out that crowded attic, which triggers a series of memories from your past endeavors to build up your Little Shop.

For instance you find a birthday card from Uncle Roy and remember starting your first lemonade stand with the five bucks he gave you that year. Look through 15 attic locations, such as an old trunk to a broken television, and find 4 hidden object scenes for each representing a different memory. Find 15 hidden objects in of these scenes, such as your first lemonade stand, your college dorm room, and your first office job.

A Classic Hidden Object Experience

Little Shop - Memories will have you visiting 12 unique memory scenes a total of 5 times each as you make your way through the game. Search out 10 of the items on your list to proceed to the next level or find all 15 to get an award. Collect a keepsake for completing each level and additionally you can find a bonus Polaroid snapshot in each scene, all of which are stored in your scrapbook and can be examined later.

You can also find "?" signs in each level which gives you an additional hint. The hint system is a little different than other hidden object games in that it simply shows the image of one of the items on your list. If those aren't enough, there are hidden cameras and thermometer power-ups which you can find in the scenes. The thermometer gives you a hot/cold indicator and the camera gives a quick flash showing the location of the 5 items at the top of the find list.

Challenging But Manageable Gameplay

The scenes found in Little Shop - Memories are fantastically detailed and cluttered enough to provide a fun challenge for any fan of the hidden object genre. The intriguing hint system adds in enough help to get you through the tough spots while not just showing you where the items are. The fact that the cameras and thermometers can only by used in a scene once means you might want to hold off on using them until a later revisit, which adds in a bit of strategy to the gameplay.

If you get tired of the same general searching gameplay, there are the mini-games found at the end of every 4 scenes which are hidden object variations, like finding 5 pairs of an object based on clues or finding the missing parts of a picture. With an added Blitz mode where you try and collect the complete item list of about 75 objects for each scene as quickly as possible, you're sure to get plenty of hours of play.
