Warlords: Heroes, May 20, 2009
by Ben
I was not as big of a fan of this game as I thought I would be. The pros include the graphics, the wide range of upgrades to buy, and an array of enemies with different identities. I also did like the idea that you can hire up to two henchmen to join you on your quest through the different levels. The cons are simply the repetitive nature of the game. Every level is pretty much the same. You go through and kill a certain number of enemies and then camp around the fire where you can purchase items with the gold you earned on the previous levels. I have not come to any type of special quest or mission that involves anything but scrolling to the side and killing the enemy as they come to you. There just is not much depth to the game. If you enjoy side scrolling/killing games, then this is the one for you. It just was not my cup of tea.
Conclusion:
There needs to be more depth to the game and more of a reason to play other than just killing the enemy.
