PONG: the genesis of the arcade video game! It’s also a pretty timeless and fun simulation of the game of table tennis. So, go ahead and defend your scoring zones, and make your opponent miss defending theirs. Pong on!

the original was much better and not quite as fast as this. one of the bad things about this version of pong is that is is to hard to score against the computer and the ball moves to fast! pong is a great game and anyone who plays this pong for the first time might just be put off.

Not sure why others like this so much. Used to play the real thing. One, MUCH too fast! Second, too hard to score against the computer, three, I feel the width is too shallow, four, single player.

Nice but not the perfect port, May 19, 2010
by Cyrill Kravtsoff
Pong is a classic video game from the 1970’s and this is a modern online flash port which overall did nicely but it doesn’t have a multiplayer which made Pong a great game in the first place.
The graphics have and never actually had nice visuals and technicality since this game is so old but that’s the exact charm of this port that it is like the 1970’s game.
The sound is the same as the old port with the the same beep sound of the ball when it hits the the pad or the two walls from up and down and the same sound of the goal so that is also a nice add on to this port.
The Control in the game is simple and its easy to pick right away just using the mouse although it is all right that doesn’t feel like the pad controller of the home port.
The gameplay is simple and addictive simply to the players score the point of 21 and he wins and the game starts over but the computer rival is quite challenging because it manages to hit the ball all most all the time and there is no multiplayer mode so this game was made for one person to play which is quite disappointing since Pong was great for its multiplayer mode in the first place the computer just doesn’t seem to be a living human being but a ruthless ball blocking machine.
To make your game easier you should try to hit the ball in a way that it will bounce and move fast so the enemy pad will have a harder time hitting the ball back also practice your speed and accuracy and that’s all that is to it since its a simple game anyway.
Overall this is a nice port of pong with the same graphics, sound and gameplay from the 1970’s original arcade port sadly this port doesn’t have a multiplayer mode and the mouse control isn’t as intense as the pad controller from the original pong machine.
I give this game a 3 out of 5

Best Pong Game Online, Feb 01, 2010
by Negative Nancy
Sadly, that’s the truth. This is much more fast-paced than the original pong and is far from Pong’s glory yet it is the best pong game online!
I see someone said that their issue was resolved since the paddle here moves instantly, that, I find, to be the major flaw. The original pong, both the computer and the player were at a slow speed, so the angle you hit the ball was most important, here it’s different.
This game may be good for other players who aren’t feeling nostalgic for the original, but to me, I feel deterred to play at all. Especially since the single player paddle is the wrong one from the original.

The Battle Between Yourself And a Computer, Dec 23, 2009
by The Doctor Within You (Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA)
This is a tirelessly entertaining—and classic—game, no matter who you play with, yourself (huhuh) or another person. Why is it so entertaining? We don’t really know. It’s so simple, yet this computerized version is so darn hard. So, do yourself a favor.. next time you find yourself getting beat by the virtual opponent, don’t feel too bad. It’s manufactured that way by nerds. Aw, nuts.
