Game Description

Fans of "The Sims", Check This Out!

Trapped on a deserted island! Virtual Villagers is about a group of desperate people that have survived a catastrophic natural disaster and must learn to survive on the island of Isola.

Teach them to farm, research new technologies, build new living quarters, and have children to grow the village.

Guide the day-to-day lives of these villagers and help them explore and restore their new home. As your village grows and prospers, your villagers become curious about their mysterious new island home and the secrets it holds.

16 Puzzles to Solve

As your villagers grow in their skills, they will be able to do new things like remove the boulder to a secret cave and understand some of the mysterious plants on the island. Discover and solve these puzzle "milestones" by gaining experience in farming, research, breeding, building etc. and unlocking new technologies. You never know what is hidden on the island and discovering new things is a whole lot of fun.

Real Time Game Play

Just like Fish Tycoon from the same game developer, Virtual Villagers take place in real time meaning when you shut off the game, the villagers are still working and growing in their skills.

You will need to check in with them now and then to make sure they are staying on task, nobody is sick, and you are advancing in your discoveries. This is a nice feature if you don't want to sit in front of a game for hours and hours at a time.

A Unique Type of Game

If you are tired of the same old kind of game, Virtual Villagers will be a breath of fresh air and worth your time. Give a shot and download the free trial! Also, try the sequel, Virtual Villagers 2, that picks up where this game leaves off and the latest adventure Virtual Villagers 3!

Virtual Villagers Sequels!

Once you have solved this mystery, there are more mysteries on the island of Isola to uncover!

In Virtual Villagers 2, you find some children living on the island.  Train these children to survive and grow and find out what kinds of secrets they might reveal!

This game kind of makes you a god, you get to help them start over and find new things. It has a puzzle that as you go on you solve and a couple of collections that you end un finishing at some point. I enjoy this game because it makes me feel like I am a god and I control everything that goes on. You have to find food for the people and when that source is gone you have to find another. You have people who study science and others who are builders and build huts. The little people can reproduce and they get old and die but you keep having your villagers reproduce so that you always have at least one villiger.

its a good game i think , the but i think that the gametime to realtime is really slow , and everything just passes so slowly , the problem solving is really fun , but ones you finished it its just the same the next time so playing it ones is the best you can do . butt being a god like creature over your own people is really fun , the story line does not change but the people change every time so thats fun , and also if you have finished the story finishing the collections is also really fun

Virtual villagers has been a great saga. But it has been same throughout. It needs a change. Might be introducing a new island which can be seen after solving a puzzle. And the Island should have advanced technologies that is needed in today’s life. And make it a bit scary also might help it.

Waiting for the next release.

well, i thought that this game was interesting and kinda cool. the little villagers move around by the click of a mouse. its almost like in real life, which makes it better. what i think that this game needs is more animation and a clothes shop or a wardrobe or something. we need to be able to change their clothes and maybe also the faces and hairstyles. since they are trapped in an island and dont have the resources to make clothes then, i guess, just make them out of leaves and the stuff they DO have. other than that this game was very cool and awesome.

My experience for this game is that its very fun and it teaches you basic things about survival and making tough decisions when it comes to an event that is happening.

I loved the game because it was a time waster and you learn a lot from something small and unexpected from a game.
What i did not like about it was the difficulty of solving things on your own, I don’t even get the boulder part :P

I recommend this game for everyone. Kids, adults, teenagers or whoever, its a great experience for everyone. the full version was better than the free download because we don’t have to worry about staying up all night not to lose the free trial. (don’t do that, I tried and its not good for you and I died in the morning) its a matter of time before you realized that 5 hours has past and you felt like it was only half an hour. that’s how good this game is.

But whats better is that attempting to play the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th version is amazing as much as the first but the 4th has more benefits. Virtual families is another great example of an unexpected game experience to learn how to be a parent.  Trust me, that game was SOOOOO fun. Not kidding, I stayed up ALL night and died the next morning :D
anyone can play and so can you, try it and you will have fun playing the games i have recommended for people who loves these kind of Sim games.

My tribe is an easy game, it’s like virtual villagers but easier. It still has a few hard bits which is good because it’s not like you turn it on and finish it in 1 minute. It’s alright for kids.

54321 Great Game, Jan 01, 2010

by will (san angelo, texas USA)

It is a great, realistic game in which you are the leader of the tribe and you make sure everything runs smoothly. You cannot pick berries or mushrooms, but you can have your villagers do so. I personally like that there is a pause button because I’m gone often. I recommend this to whoever likes simulation games. 5 stars.
