Special Note: Why We Discontinued This Game

As of September 1, 2011 Operation Spacehog was only hosted at Download.com.  Both Download.com and the game developer, Free Lunch Design, bundled extra software with the download that installed a toolbar and potentially changed your browser's start page unless you unchecked a box during the installation process.  We tried to find a download of Operation Spacehog that did not contain this extra software but could not find one.  Since DFG does not support bundled software that can alter your computer in this way, we decided to discontinue this game.

A horizontal scrolling shoot'em up space game!

Most of the classic arcade games we know and love have this basic theme. Enemies to shoot up and destroy as well as power ups to collect for your ship. Fly said ship with a wide array of weapons through increasingly challenging levels - like you expected anything else.

With power-ups and upgrades, you can conquer the impossible!

As you play this game the enemies gradually get harder and more plentiful - a veritable plethora of enemies. In order to continue, you must make your ship a more powerful offensive and defensive weapon. You can collect power-ups to strengthen your offense. You can collect shields to fortify your defense - alright!!!

Get ready to jump in your spacecraft and begin obliterating said plethora of enemies. With choices of vessels (3 fabulous kinds) you will be able to fight your way to victory and intergalactic glory!
