Official Description

Lugaru (pronounced Loo-GAH-roo) is a third-person action title available for Mac OS, Windows, and Linux. The main character, Turner, is an anthropomorphic rebel bunny rabbit with impressive combat skills. In his quest to find those responsible for slaughtering his village, he uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy involving the corrupt leaders of the rabbit republic and the starving wolves from a nearby den. Turner takes it upon himself to fight against their plot and save his fellow rabbits from slavery.

Lugaru's primary feature is its unique combat system. Instead of relying on confusing button combinations to perform moves, Lugaru's moves are all logical and context sensitive.

For example, if an opponent aims a roundhouse kick at Turner's head, you can crouch and then stand up under the attack to grab your assailant's leg and kick him away. If you try and punch an opponent and he tries to throw you over his shoulder, you can crouch to roll painlessly out of the throw. This new combat system makes fights look and feel much more intense and believable than in any other game.

Lugaru is an interesting experiment of what would happen if an angry ninja bunny took his anger out on all the evil beings in the land. Lugaru uses a creative combat system unlike anyother found in most games. It does even better than the mighty Soul Calibur in some respects. However, Lugaru stumbles here and there. The story is a bit on the stale side, an often overused plot engine. On the flipside, Lugaru manages to shake up the formula with challenging missions and weapon rewards. Lugaru is worth the free download to try. I would recommend it for persons above the age of 12 as there is plenty of violence to go around. The game is fun and a must-download for action and fighting lovers!

The game is awesome! You can jump really high, and drop even further without hurting yourself. You can also do several different kinds of flips, back flip, front flip, wall flip, and handspring, but if you don't time one right you'll land on your head or somewhere other than your feet. The game controls are easy to learn, and the game is challenging. I really like jumping off of buildings and hills when I play this game. I can't believe Lucas has not made a Jedi game like this; it would sell millions! I highly recommend downloading this game; even if you're on dial up; it's well worth the wait. The game is cheaply priced at 20 bucks and it's worth every penny! This game does have realistic blood effects in it. The blood will drip off the knife and make a puddle, so I don't recommend this game to people who don't like to see little bunny rabbits get hurt. Actually, everyone should get this game and just color the blood files blue or something. The game's files are easy enough to access.
