If you enjoyed the Streets of Rage series, you will definately want to play this 2D brawling classic game! This game is in essence Streets of Rage IV.
Mr Y has brought the city into a state of turmoil in only three months since his escape and it is up to you to set it straight. You can't trust the police, the thugs, or anyone else...the whole city is in an uproar and needs your fighting skills. In standard "beat em up style", fight your way through all of his thugs to right wrongs and establish order.
Choose between 1 of 3 heroes
Mandy, Max, and Kula are ready to fight and defeat injustice and return the city to a more tranquil state. As you know, sometimes peace must be fought for. Are you ready?

53 of 55 people found this review helpful I have constantly searched the web for great free games, and this one is the top of my list. I'm not typically a giant fan of remakes, but this one is awesome. If you don't know, it's a remake of Streets of Rage, a very famous Sega sidescrolling beat-em-up. And, in my honest opinion, Beats of Rage actually supercedes SoR in terms of general fun. The graphics are, well, they're sprites. Pixelated, yet still oddly charming. And the gameplay is pretty much just beating up people, but it's still extremely fun. You have three characters to choose from, all of which have seperate movesets, aside from your basic punch+kicks. I've already beaten the game once, but I still come back for more, just to see what it's like with other characters. To sum up, it's a really well made free game. What have you got to lose by downloading this? I tell you what you've got to lose. Time. I spent an hour on this once, and I didn't even know it. It was just a fun, addicting game. Get this game, and quick.
