If you have never tried Tablut, you are in for a strategic treat! In a game is kind of like a cross between Chess and Go, this game will have you working overtime to try and win against your opponets! You will start on a square gameboard (like chess) and move pieces trying to capture or evade. If you are the aggressor, you must capture the king from the other army before he reaches a corner. If he makes it there, he is safe and the invasion has failed. If you are being attacked, you just get the king to a corner.

It's not as easy as it seems though. All pieces can move like rooks and you can have your men captured. You capture a piece by surrounding him on two opposing sides (similar to Go). Sometimes it will feel like you are trying to keep track of 1,000,000 different possibilities at the same time. In the strategy game market, it is hard to find a rival.

Tablut Online is a variation of an ancient and mysterious board game, called hnefatafl or tafl. Although tafl was first played hundreds of years ago by the Vikings, many civilizations throughout history have played variations of the game; nonetheless, all versions share common characteristics. You will get the best of these games and enjoy a strategy game you can learn quickly, but will keep you intrigued for a long time!
