Every month we will be choosing the best user submitted game review of the month and giving the winner 2 free full version DFG Platinum Games ($40-$60 value). 

All you have to do is go to a game page, click "Write a Review", and fill out the form with the guidelines provided.  If yours is good, we will set it aside in our potential winners and then choose the best one to award.

Does Stardock's Impulse Represent the Future of Digital Downloads?

The new thing for game downloads these days is to deliver them via 1 software application that serves as a directory, download utility, game manager, driver updater, and social network.

The first in the online game space (as far back as I can remember) to use a downloadable app to deliver software was Real Arcade to deliver casual games.  But the system that has taken digital distribution world by proverbial storm has been Steam, created by Valve Corporation in September 2003 to help fight piracy by authenticating user accounts online.  It also became the company's flagship digital distribution platform to deliver its hit games like the Half-Life and Counter-Strike series direct to its customers via the Internet.

Steam passed 20 million user accounts in early 2008 and has become the gold standard digital distribution platform, now delivering games from a number of the major software developers and publishers.

Due to Steam's success, it is no wonder that other companies are trying to find a way to compete.

Enter Impulse, the digital distribution platform by publisher/developer Stardock, known for its user friendly digital rights management systems (i.e. none on some games).

F22 Raptor Will Live Forever!

World's Most Advanced Fighter Will Cease Production - But Only in Real Life

Just yesterday the Pentagon decided to cut production of the super-advanced F-22 Raptor in an effort to trim the US defense budget.

The Hartford Courant reported "In all, Gates would cap the acquisition of F-22s at 187, four more than the official order of 183, itself whittled down over time from many hundreds that the Air Force originally wanted." (Full Story)

So will the awesome F22 disappear entirely in time?

Games Under $10

Games that are so cheap it shouldn't be allowed!

On March 5 we launched a new section called Games Under $10 where we feature every game on this site that is in fact - the whole truth and nothing but the truth - under $10 bucks.

In light of worldwide economic concerns, many game developers and publishers are lowering prices to see if it results in an increase in sales.  We decided to do the same.

Many full versions are $9.99. Some are $6.99. That shouldn't be legal - but it is.
